Name: Katie, but I write under Lynette Location: Pennsylvania, more specifically the suburbs of Philadelphia Age: 14
Now, I know you all got that off the profiles, so here's stuff I don't know:
Nickname: Katie, Kate, Kates- but Nette/Nettie is fine too Favorite Food: Oreo's, Taquito's, Gumbo, Chocolate, etc. Bad Habit: Nailbiting, procrastinating. Slight OCD Habit: I lint-roll myself constanty when I wear black, and I pick the little fuzz off other people's clothes. Favorite Animal: err, Tigers? and the Beluga Whale. (It's adorable.) Pet Peeves: Ignorant, Racist, and Prejudiced People, and being cut-off while I'm trying to say something Favorite Place: Quebec, My room, my backyard, and the Perkiomen Trail Place you want to visit: All of Europe, Spain in particular Favorite Sport: I like to swim, but my favorite sport to watch is Football Favorite Band/Singer: I honestly like just about everything but at the moment I'm particularly fond of Boys Like Girls and the Plain White T's. Favorite Song: 'Hey There, Delilah' by Plain White T's even though it's totally over-played now. I've been in love with it for like the last 6 months. I also like 'London' by Lily Allen. Favorite TV show: I like The Hills, Lost, South Park, and Law and Order (original and SVU) Favorite Book (not the Outsiders): The Harry Potter books. False Memory, One Door Away from Heaven, and Lightning-all by Dean Koontz
Since we're all Outsiders fans....
Favorite Character: Johnny Favorite Character to write about: Steve and Curly Least favorite Character (why?): Cherry just doesn't appeal to me I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: I read it in May 2007 in my 8th grade English class and I was 14.
How have my impressions changed since I first read it? If they haven’t, what were my first impressions: Well, the fact that Sandy was pregnant went over my (and everyone else's) head. Then I went on ff.net and it became pretty clear. When I tried to tell that to my best friend who was still reading the book, she didn't believe me, still doesn't. That's what you get from a Soda fangirl. Also, because we saw everything from Pony's POV- I thought Steve was a jerk, and Soda could do no wrong. Then I tried looking at my own older brother (who I idolize) through an outsider's eyes and went- My god, that boy's a hood! so my view on Soda has changed slightly.
I’ve been writing since: Well, stories for school since first grade. For an english project in 3rd grade, I wrote about 2 sisters who live on a farm and their sheep have gone missing, lol.

Name: Madeleine Location: A very small town in Oregon. Age: Fourteen
Now, I know you all got that off the profiles, so here's stuff I don't know:
Nickname: Maddie, Maddles, Maddiecake, and my best friend calls me Cheater and Little Fish... although I'm not sure why. Favorite Food: Italian food... well, the stuff without meat. And Pad Thai. Bad Habit: Nail biting, tapping my fingers constantly, I hate having cat hair on my clothes and it's kind of an OCD thing... I wash my hands like, constantly. [Not necessarily a bad habit, but it uses up soap. xD] Favorite Animal: Koalas and Chinchillas! Pet Peeves: There are a lot of them, but at the moment all I can think of are things that are played off-key and when people chew loudly. Favorite Place: My room, Edinburgh, Scotland. Place you want to visit: Ireland, Italy, New York, and I'd like to go back to both England and Scotland. Favorite Sport: Softball Favorite Band/Singer: I have a lot of favorite bands... at the moment I'm into Hanson, The Beatles, Elvis, Motion City Soundtrack, and Jamie Cullum. Favorite Song: 'Alfie' by Lily Allen 'Twentysomething' by Jamie Cullum 'Running Man' by Hanson Favorite TV show: I like The Simpsons, Whose Line is it Anyway, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and Doogie Howser, M.D. Favorite Book (not the Outsiders): The Harry Potter books, Twilight series, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Godfather, The Chosen... I like a lot of books.
Since we're all Outsiders fans....
Favorite Character: Johnny... and Two-Bit. Favorite Character to write about: Johnny, but Two-Bit is also pretty fun to write about... the only thing I've had him star in, though, is a dramatic two-shot songfic. Least favorite Character (why?): I'm annoyed by Jerry... majorly annoyed. Oh, and Cherry. I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: I read it when I was eleven in 2005.
How have my impressions changed since I first read it? If they haven’t, what were my first impressions: At first I thought Steve was a jerk, and that Ponyboy was a lot like me as far as liking books and movies goes. I also thought that, since the whole thing was in Ponyboy's POV, that Darry was way too harsh. In fact, I remember when I was sleeping over at my best friend's house and I woke up saying "everything was Darry's fault." She got a little weirded out and told me I shouldn't think about that so much. I don't know what my impression is now... when I think of what it is, I'll put it up.
I’ve been writing since: I've been telling stories since I was about four or so, writing them since I was in first grade. In second grade we went for a walk and my teacher told us to tell a story about some shoes on a telephone wire, and I told a twenty-minute story involving pirates, wizards, and a guy named Brady and his mom. It all led up to how the shoes got up on the wire. xD

Nope, I'm a Northern Suburbs girl. ANd even then, I like to think that I'm not a suburb - I'm about 40 miles north.
South Jersey isn't too far, though! Hooray for more fandom girls in the (general) area!

Hi there, I'm new and have been lurking here for a little while but a little worried about joining, until now.
Name: Another Illusion Location: England Age: 17
Now, I know you all got that off the profiles, so here's stuff I don't know:
Nickname: Favorite Food: Cake, japanese food, homemade soup Bad Habit: Checking locks and anything about my general security really. Favourite Animal: Cat Pet Peeves: Bad grammar, people who don't listen, rude people, being ignored a lot Favorite Place: Home Place you want to visit: Lots of places, I love travel. Favorite Sport: Running, self defense, etc. Favorite Band/Singer: I don't really have one anymore....I love a lot of bands.... Favorite Song: I may have to answer this and the band one a little later Favorite TV show: Probably 24 or any decent show about crime and forensics and that, particularly Bones and the ilk. Favorite Book (not the Outsiders): Dante, Jane Austen, I like Jodi Picoult and a range of books really.
Since we're all Outsiders fans....
Favorite Character: Dally or Two-Bit or Tim Favorite Character to write about: Steve, Tim or Two-Bit, but I worry humour doesn't come across as well when I write it at the moment. Least favorite Character (why?): I don't really have one but if provoked it probably would be Johnny, because I just can't get into his mindset, I feel really sorry for him but I can't get inside his motives, etc. He's a great character, but I find him the hardest to understand. I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: I can't remember, a few years ago?
How have my impressions changed since I first read it? If they haven’t, what were my first impressions: I took Pony's POV a little literally then, now I can analyse it a bit more and read behind the lines. I’ve been writing since: Original fic most of my life, I've always loved writing, fanfic is quite new still for me.

Name: Desiree Location: North Carolina right now Age: It changes every year ;D Now, I know you all got that off the profiles, so here's stuff I don't know: Nickname: Des, Desi, Rain, Destiny, and my biker name Schattenstern Favorite Food: PIZZA!!!! Bad Habit: Biting my fingernails Favourite Animal: Spiders Pet Peeves: Rude people, anyone that pulls out in front of me, and people that stare at me Favorite Place: Germany Place you want to visit: Romania Favorite Sport: Soccer Favorite Band/Singer: Boston and the Beatles Favorite Song: More Than A Feeling and Let It Be Favorite TV show: Forensic Files, Ghost Whisperer Favorite Book (not the Outsiders): The Talisman Since we're all Outsiders fans.... Favorite Character: Darry or Ponyboy Favorite Character to write about: Ponyboy or Darry Least favorite Character (why?): Two-Bit. He reminds me of my oldest brother when we were kids, and it annoys me. I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: I read it in 1980 when I was 8 years old. How have my impressions changed since I first read it? A lot of it went over my head since I was so young when I got my hands on it, but I did catch the hint about Sandy being pregnant. ;D Like a lot of you, I took PC's views literally and disliked Steve and Darry at first. But after rereading it in my early twenties, I found that I could relate more to Darry, and understand why he acted the way he did. I’ve been writing since: I was 5 when I wrote my first story, and 14 when I wrote my first novel length original story.
