Going to stop being so lazy and actually fill this out… Name: Ugh, my parents were “originals” too… It’s much too Mary-Sue to reveal. Location: Toronto! Land of smog. Age: Freshly minted 20. Take THAT evil teenager-hood. Nickname: zevie Favorite Food: Ooh, FOOD. Whatever’s edible. Bad Habit: Saying the wrong thing loudly, making inappropriate jokes, talking too much, excessive sarcasm, and swearing. And I could go on. Favorite Animal: Cats! I have one, but she’s as needy as five (eats that much too, little fatty). Horses rule too, but, I am only an admirer from afar. Pet Peeves: Gross, loud noises when people eat. (However, gross visuals are not bothersome…I can’t even figure this out myself.) Favorite Place: My chair. And on stage…I’m a musician by day. Cheesy, I know. Place you want to visit: NEW YAWK!!!! One guess why. Tulsa natch, Hong Kong, Vienna, England, and Vancouver, land of beaches. Favorite Sport: Sleeping. (I SUPPOSE hockey, as I am Canadian.) Favorite Band/Singer: Currently, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bryan Adams and Kelly Clarkson, heh. And, classical music!!! Favorite Song: Currently, “Joy to the World” CCR (you HAVE to sing along), “I’ll Be” Edwin McCain and Tim Minchin’s “Inflatable You.” Favorite TV show: Family Guy and any stand up comedy festival or show. And, um, Breaker High. Favorite Book (not the Outsiders): Currently, HP, P&P, Memoirs of a Geisha, Obasan by Joy Kogawa, The Cider House Rules by John Irving and Close Range by Annie Proulx. I have difficulties picking favs, heh. Favorite Character: Dally and Timmy. The Bad Boys. Favorite Character to write about: Dallas and Tim, unless it’s for comic relief in which case it’s Dallas again (SO much fun) and I shamelessly abuse Two-Bit’s joker status. Least favorite Character (why?): None, really…I really like Johnny and understand how he reacts I think, but, ironically, I tend to ignore him. I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: 1999, I was 12. Or 13. So maybe it was 2000. Grade 7 in class, just like everyone else. How have my impressions changed since I first read it? If they haven’t, what were my first impressions: I also thought Ponyboy was always dead on about everything. I alternately wanted to BE Dallas or Sodapop, and I couldn’t have cared less about Tim Shepard (BAD me). I also had no clue that Sandy was preggers, but Dally’s suicide hit me like a foot between the eyes. (I read it at about 3 am. Made for pleasant dreams.) Now, I’m just as obsessed with figuring out Dallas (and maybe marginally closer to it, who knows), in love with Tim…’s character, heh, and I take Pony’s conclusions with a grain of salt. But, he’s still really observant and bright. I like Ponyboy! Poor crazy kid. I still think it’d be fun to have Soda’s personality, but he sure gets kicked in the crotch by life too much for my liking. Darry seemed young back then even…but some of the other stuff the guys did at a young age was okay then and blows me away now. (Smoking at 9? JAIL at 10? MARRIAGE in the teens?!) I’ve been writing since: I was 8 and wrote stories for my friends involving three adventurous crime-fighting hamsters named Smokey, Chloe and Lulu. Probably my best writing to date.

*shrugs* Might as well. XD
Name: Ick. I think someone who was writing my birth certificate was on crack. Honestly. Location: Somewhere in planet Cukoo...okay, fine, Florida. Age: Well, I'm the baby of the forum, that's all I'm saying.
Now, I know you all got that off the profiles, so here's stuff I don't know:
Nickname: Akane, or Nelly. Favorite Food: Awesome question considering I'm stuffing rice, beans, chicken, and fries into my mouth. Bad Habit: I can never be content with my writing if it isn't in some way humor or slash. Honestly, I just...can't. Try to break it by writing other stuff, failed miserably. Favorite Animal: Dogs. Pet Peeves: People who're all "gangsta" with "all their homies" *twitches* Favorite Place: Any sort of attraction. I suck, yes. Place you want to visit: Probably Europe with all the historical landmarks. Favorite Sport: All I do is swimming. There I repeat, I suck. Favorite Band/Singer: Tatu, Backstreet Boys, Cascada. Favorite Song: "So Kiss Me" by either Katie or Sicpence the Ritcher Favorite TV show: I've been a Kyle XY junkie since it first came out, so I consider it being my favorite. Favorite Book (not the Outsiders): Basically any book that is a tearjerker to me. Otherwise, it'd be boring to me. x.x
Since we're all Outsiders fans....
Favorite Character: Ponyboy and Sodapop. Favorite Character to write about: Oh how I LONG to write a Ponyboy fanfiction but all I can be content about are humor, in some way involving him. Least favorite Character (why?): If I must choose, Cherry. I see her too much like a Mary-Sue in my eyes because of all her good traits.
I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: How have my impressions changed since I first read it? If they haven’t, what were my first impressions: I read it in 8th grade, and it got me into reading since! =D
I’ve been writing since: I first wrote my name...what? Oh fine. Since I was in 6th grade I wrote really bad embarrasing-to-share stories of my own.

Man, I am right there with you. Whenever I can find it on, that is. They stopped showing it 6 times a day on Prime when they became TV Tropolis. But now they play Due South 4 times a day instead...
Yeah, that I know that is geeky, but you did not spend the summer with Mr. Shadow...
See ya in the funny papers and welcome aboard to all our members!
Tens I watch it every day here. It's on Hallmark from four to six (Central Time, I don't know where you live, but that's what time it's on here), and then it's on TV Land from nine to eleven.

Maybe I should have donoe this before posting replies all over the place! Here goes..... Name: Cyndi Location: NJ Age: OLD! hahaha Nickname: Cyn Favorite Food: mac and cheese Bad Habit: smoking occasionally and I swear like a sailor! Favorite Animal: my cats Pet Peeves: stupidity and people who lack common sense Favorite Place: the beach Place you want to visit: vegas and california Favorite Sport: baseball NY Yankees! Favorite Band/Singer: Skid Row, Iron Maiden, Tantric, Fosterchild Favorite Song: I'm a music nut....I have MANY! Favorite TV show: Law and Order SVU Favorite Book (not the Outsiders): ANYTHING by SE Hinton, The first four books of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, I have so many books, tho....I love anything Vampire and anything similar to Susie's writing... Since we're all Outsiders fans.... Favorite Character: Dallas Favorite Character to write about: I've started a little Dallas and Tim thing....we'll see where it goes....I love reading the Dally/Tim stories so I think I'll enjoy writing them as well. Least favorite Character (why?): Cherry because I think if she was half the person Pony thought she was she would have stood up to her friends and said hi to him at school. He SHOULD take it personal because no one should act like that because they're afraid of what other people think. I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: How have my impressions changed since I first read it? If they haven’t, what were my first impressions: I read the book when I was 9 I think ('81 WOW!) and have re-read it more times than I can count since then. It blew my mind. I remember as a kid just wishing I knew those guys. I guess I still do wish that. When Johnny died I remember crying myself to sleep. I kind of always thought Pony was a brat but I loved his telling of the story so I got past it. Like some others, I didn't get the "It wasn't him, Pony;" about Sandy leaving Sode until many years later. Then I was like "Ohhhhhhhh." I’ve been writing since: I mentioned somewhere that I haven't written fanfics yet but I do write for my own amusement. I've been writing since about age 13. Started with angsty poems. Then around 16 I started writing short stories. I remember going from class to class in junior year and not being able to get there fast enough so I could keep writing. I don't know how I managed to pass my classes!! Edited twice cuz I'm a momo! Oh and why the heck can't you say Charles D.ickens?

Name: Janelle Location: Victoria, Australia Age: 23
Nickname: Nell Favorite Food: Pasta Bad Habit: I'ma daydreamer with a short attention span. Doesn't bother me so much, btu it frustrates everyone around me. Favorite Animal: Cat Pet Peeves: Currently: neighbours having loud conversations outside our shared driveway whilst revving their engines and turning their music up so they can hear it over the engine at 5:30 am. Favorite Place: On the couch on our deck with books and tea Place you want to visit: England Favorite Sport: I'm not really a sport kinda gal. But I religiously go to watch my friends play basketball. Favorite Band/Singer: Bon Jovi & Alisha's Attic Favorite Song:Impossible to pick. I have favourite songs for particuaar moods Favorite TV show: I'm with the crowd that love MASH - we get it twice a day every day here. Spicks & Specks & The Chaser, which are both Aussie shows. Favorite Book (not the Outsiders):Isobelle Carmody's Obernewtyn Chronicles
Since we're all Outsiders fans....
Favorite Character: Two Bit Favorite Character to write about: I don't really write. I'm really just a reader. Least favorite Character (why?): I don't really do least favourite characters well. I love all the characters for different reasons.
I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: It was 1996 and I was 12. How have my impressions changed since I first read it? If they haven’t, what were my first impressions: I'm definitely in the 'I took Ponyboy's opinions as fact' camp. As I grew up and reread I began to realise how subjective everything he says is, which gave me a better appreciation of everythign else that was going on. Also, it was only about six months ago - with the help of my best friend - that I figred out why so many fanfic authors were certain Sandy cheated on Soda. Maybe it was the way I was used to language being used, or that I'm jsut kinda slow, btu I always took the "when Sandy left....it wasn't him" line to mean that Soda wasn't himself. I'd never even considered that there might be another way to interpret it. And that's really changed the way I see parts of the book.
I’ve been writing since: Well, I wrote a lot when I was younger, but now I jst jot things for my own amusement, rather than really writing. So I gues you could say since I was 11ish, but mostly stopped when I was 18.

I can't believe I haven't stumbled across this yet! Here are my answers:
Name: Emily Location: Cleveland, Ohio Age: 24
Nickname: Em Favorite Food: Mexican Bad Habit: I either play with (twist, twirl etc.) or chew on my hair. I kicked the habit and then started up again in college and now I can't quit. Favorite Animal: Duck-billed platypus Pet Peeves: Ignorant people or people that feel like they are entitled to something because of who they are Favorite Place: Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania Place you want to visit: Australia and/or New Zealand (they are so far away from me that I figure I'd take a trip to see both at the same time) Favorite Sport: Softball and/or basketball Favorite Band/Singer: Peter Gabriel Favorite Song: Gosh... I have no idea. Maybe "D'yer Maker" by Led Zepplin? Favorite TV show: Heroes or The Office (American version) Favorite Book (not the Outsiders): Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Since we're all Outsiders fans....
Favorite Character: Dallas Winston Favorite Character to write about: Dallas Least favorite Character (why?): The easy answer would be Cherry because she always bugged me, but I'd have to honestly say Johnny. While I feel bad for him and his presence is so crucial to my favorite character, he just never made an impact on me. Either that, or I just never discovered who he truly was. Even after reading the book so many times, I'd be terrified to write a Johnny story because I don't feel like I know him. In that sense, I can put him on the chopping block as my least favorite...
I read the book in (ex. 1973) and I was X many years old: I read the book in 1995 when I was 12 years old. How have my impressions changed since I first read it? If they haven’t, what were my first impressions: As I've grown up and read the book multiple times, I have really begun to see just how young and immature all the characters are. At 12, a 20-year-old raising a family didn't seem all that crazy to me, because 20 seemed old (ha!). Now, I can see how young and desperate they all were. I can also separate Pony's opinions from fact. As a kid, I took everything he said as true and now I can see past that.
I’ve been writing since: I was about 12. I took a long hiatus during most of high school and college, but now I'm back at it when I have the time... Although lately I do a lot more fan fic reading than writing!

Well, the museums, the culture, Carnegie Hall and Broadway, of course.
...Lies, all lies.
It's those damn tight jeans in the gun scene. As if the shirtlessness wasn't enough.

Favorite Band/Singer: Rascal Flatts Favorite Song: My Wish Favorite TV show: Hannah Montana/South Park Favorite Book (not the Outsiders):Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Favorite Character: Sodapop and Ponyboy Favorite Character to write about: Sodapop and Ponyboy Least favorite Character (why?): Umm... When I was in NYC during a high school band/choir trip (I tagged along with a friend who was in band because they needed a larger group to cut the price), a bunch of the girls ran into Rob Lowe on the street... And many of them didn't know who he was! Alas, I was busy seeing Les Miserables instead.
