I'll admit that I'm not one of those who obsessively collects movies with Rob Lowe - or any of the others (though particularly Rob staring in them, though I do find myself watching them when they come on TV, and back when there were late night reruns of The West Wing I'd watch those, but I own very few movies in the way of our actors. I wish I had the money to do so, however, lol.
But yesterday I was at Walmart, and I was in the book/magazine section waiting for my mom to finish her shopping. I saw a tiny stand of $1 movies but wasn't going to give it the time of day, because we all know those movies are crap, right?
Heh. I was walking past it and one of the most gorgeous men in existance caught my eye. Did a double take because I KNEW it was Rob Lowe. Yup. Picked it up off the shelf and dropped it in my cart. Dollar movie or not, it was only a DOLLAR. And it starred Rob. Lol. Of course, after that I had to search through the rest an only came up with another one with Adrian Brody in it, but I put it back down.
Anyway, I was pretty proud of my $1 purchase. Dead Silent it's called. I have yet to see if it's any good, but hey, who cares? It's Rob Lowe.

I don't have any, all though I've seen a few...I think. I can't remember! I haven't even seen one (except the Outsiders) all the way through. I've seen parts of You, Me and Dupree, but my brother owns it. Also I've seen Mighty Ducks, but that really belongs to my family. I own movies like Snakes On a Plane and Anger Management. Adam Sandler and Samuel Jackson rock, but not more then "Our Boys"!

I've seen about half of Matt and Rob's movies, but I only a few of them. If I ever come across one, though, I buy it.

And Grandview USA both with Darry and Pony....I mean Patrick and Tommy....LOL I do own a few Matt discs......I NEED to get Liar's Moon but I do have Over the Edge.....I'm so into angsty 70's/80's teen movies it's sick! lol I also need Drugstore Cowboy.....I think I would say I have a Matt collection.... It's so nice now that acquiring movies and tv shows is so much easier than years ago! I didn't realize Glenn was in Beverly Hills Cop 2...I'll have to check that out.

I think the special edition of Red Dawn is out now. I want to rent it just to watch the new interviews (with Tommy, of course). Entertainment Weekly made mention of one of his comments in their review of the DVD. Says Howell, ''You know it's cold when you're forced to spoon Charlie Sheen.''
As for my collection - It's pretty much Ralph Macchio movies. I have The Karate Kid boxset, Crossroads, Distant Thunder, Teachers, My Cousin Vinny, and *slightly ashamed to admit I bought it* Beer League.
I bought Dirty Dancing because it was $5 and on display at a checkout counter somewhere. At work we just got a Dirty Dancing Calendar in and it's great. I pointed out to everyone that next year is the 25th anniversary of The Outsiders movie and that they should put out a calendar for that. They agreed, but I think it was just to humor me, lol.
I did buy Mr. Wonderful with Matt at a dollar store, but I haven't watched it yet. And even though I don't own a bunch of movies with the other guys, I have been using my Netflix account to great advantage.

Ralph is in Beer Leauge? I've seen it, but it was my dad's decision to order it on demand. And I totally want to see The Karate Kid movies and Dirty Dancing! I haven't seen them yet.

LOL, Beer League was on Comedy Central on Friday and Saturday Night. Well, 1 am would actually be Saturday and Sunday morning, but anyway.
I'd shown my friends the 'Hold the Ralph Macchio' video on youtube so we'd been joking about it, naturally. And we went downstairs to find Beer League on the TV. As the story goes, I said- "Jae, you'll never geuss who's in this movie." and she goes- "Who, Ralph Macchio?" and when she saw that it was Ralph she started laughing.
I thought he was adorable, though I'm positive my IQ went down a few points.

Let's see, Outsiders wise I collect Bill (William Smith) stuff. Anything Bill made an appearance in goes in the cart. On that note, anyone ever sees the TV show Laredo on tape or DVD or whatever and they are ordered to buy it and send it to me for a generous reward.
Aside from Bill, I collect John Wayne and Brendan Fehr. I'm not that concerned with actors, mainly story lines. I love westerns and gory monster movies. As well as 'play with your head' movies. Oh, and any movie that scares my kid brother. Those are a must.
I really did like Patrick Swayze in 'Next of Kin' though. Anyone else see that? That was a good one. Jesse got me turned off Dirty Dancing at a young age. I hear they made a second one *shakes head*
Oh well.

Dude, it was one big chick flick. "Mope, mope mope, dance, cry, mope, cheesy ending." There's the plot! It was just so predictable and I was like 10 and I knew that. Gave it a chance a few years later and thought the same thing. He was wasting all those muscles on a lift. That's why there's Road House. He redeemed himself in that one.
I grew up with boys. I get told a lot that it ruined me for all the girlie stuff. *shrugs*
I'll take a monster movie over that any day. Anyone see the House of Wax remake? I thought it was a dumb movie, but hit the spot for gore. I haven't seen a scary movie in like 2 weeks. I wonder if that explains the nightmares I've been having all week. Man, I need to go and put a scary movie on.
Night!

Don't know if they're still being played, but all last week and last weekend they were showing at least the first Karate Kid on ABC Family on pretty much a nightly basis.

I was watching I Love the 80's on VH1 earlier today, and they talked about Little Darlings. I've seen that show (I love the 80's) a bunch of times, but I never get over seeing them talk about anything to do with the Brat Pack, especially The Outsiders.
There are many movies I want to get - I try and get a few new movies every few months (though not necessarily to do with any of our boys). I keep meaning to buy one of those Brat Pack movie packs off of ebay or half.com, but I never have the money ... and never remember to do it. I only remember when I DON'T have money, and then it's dangerous to look, because I'll buy things regardless of whether or not I can afford them.
I do have St. Elmo's Fire on VHS that I got for $1.99 at a second hand movie store. Should have bought the DVD for $7.00, but I only had like $3 on me. But at least I have it!
