I don't think I've put any other forum on par with Outsiders fics, so no crossovers for me sadly...although Harry Potter springs to mind, lol. I can just see Steve and Soda in cloaks waving wands... OMG. Two-Bit with magic. Dally and Johnny as ghosts... I think this would be a TERRIBLE fic in my hands but I am amused all the same.

No I've never tried it, but I did want to write a story including the clown from Stephen King's It. I can imagine Dally taking It on and trying to kick the **** out of it, it would be awesome. But seriously, I wouldn't be able to pull it off, I just really like the idea of it.

I have crossed over, just never posted. My first big endeavor was involving Gayle Rivers and James Hudson's The Five Fingers. It was a Vietnam story revolving around a top secret mission that ends up with the whole unit being hunted through the jungle and basically, it fits nicely into the DV universe.
My second look at a cross over was quite silly and a bit of a Time-warp with The Birdcage. Now, I love this movie about a gay couple whose son is marrying the daughter of a republican senator and how they try and pretend they are a typical, heterosexual family when meeting their future in-laws. Anyways, plot was Steve gets drunk in Vegas on his 21st birthday and wakes up married into this family. Don't know if I'll ever get around to posting it.
And I guess you can count my Lord of The Flies piece....
Ok, I apparently cross over a lot!

LMAO! LMAO!
Tens you HAVE to post The Birdcage one! I love, love, love that movie (Robin Williams rocks my world). Or post it here. Or something. I love humour fics...
You did a Lord of the Flies piece? That sounds like a really good idea, actually...which one is it? Oh, nevermind I'll just go scour your profile page lol.

I've always wanted to write a crossover between The Outsiders and Stand By Me, in which Ace is Buck's cousin (they have the same last name, though the spelling may be different). But I just don't know what to do with it. It's been on my mind for a while. Maybe I'll get around to writing it one of these days. That is a fabulous idea -- and the time period is just about right, too. Um -- I second the "Steve marries the Birdcage" idea.

You know, I thought about a Stand by me cross over once. I decided it would take someone who's seen the whole movie to pull it off. Did spring a few other ideas, but I think I have too many on the go as it is!
hahaha! Looks like I have to get my butt in gear on that crossover then!

I've been wanting to do a crossover between The Outsiders and M*A*S*H, which is really random and I don't think it would work, lol. In fact it probably wouldn't at all. I'd have to find a way to connect both time periods. But I think it would be interesting ... and funny ... and I'd do it if I was better at characterization and all that, lol. :)

Oh, I would soo read a MASH crossover!
Let's see...the Korean war was 1950-53, so using the boys would be redundant. Maybe their Dad could have been drafted. I always consider Soda being born right about 1950, so he and BJ would have the fact that they missed out on the first years of their kids' lives in common.
It's an idea, anyways.

That's a good idea.
Or, it could be the first time travel fic that does not include self insertion and actually makes sense, lol. Like, Soda and Steve get drafted ... but somehow get sent back to Korea ... and end up at the 4077th.
But then I don't know how THAT would work because then they'd have to be doctors. Lol.

Bah, they would not have to be doctors! Klinger, Radar and Rizzo weren't. They could be drafted as Corpsmen! Or maybe to the kitchen or something fun like that! Seriously, there was always a need for random bodies in places like that. Who says it has to make sense!

Hmm, that's very true -- I didn't think of that! And hey, it could always be some type of weird parody.
I always wondered what Klinger did before he took over as company clerk ... all he seems to do is prance around the camp in a dress and heels on the unending search of a Section Eight, lol. :p

And that wasn't job enough?
No, I figure Klinger was a sentry - assigned there for security since there was a lot of expensive medicine on the base. That or he was there just to look pretty!

Probably a bit of both. And you'd think his looking pretty would do a lot for morale!

And a lot for gender confusion as well....

Haha, very true.
Although, while much of his attire was very convincing, I still think it's pretty easy to tell he's not a woman -- too many masculine features. But he tries so hard ... I think it's hilarious that he never got that Section Eight. (And sometimes I'm not so sure he was even trying, lol.) :p
