Hey Tens, jade plants are good, too. Very easy to take care of, and they look cool.
I second the aloe vera plant suggestion.

Well, I think I will have to take the credit card plant shopping now!
Sharp: Why was she on the toilet for two years? You'd think she'd die of lack of food or water or even conditions. lord knows she'd catch something.
Hannie: Man, that sucks, but it sounds like they gave you the good stuff! Good luck with the surgery!
Texaskid: Man...wisdom teeth suck to get out, but all 4 at once? That's a little cruel, no? My kid brother is having the same thing done today. So I get to pick him up from the Dentist after my 2 hour drive home. As for the whole writing bit, I am the same way. I only get something done if I have 20 000 other things on the go. Downtime is lazy time, even when it comes to writing.
Masquerade: I officially wish I went to your school. Man, two weeks? We get a 4 day weekend...
Now, back to me! Yes, I think that's a very interesting topic...
My roommate is a bull. I'm serious. She stomps around like one, bangs things like one, and all an hour to two hours before I have to get up. So if I drive off the road from tiredness today, I blame a week of that. On that note, I am going home for Easter to my quiet basement for some sleep!
Aside from that, I am doing the whole "Get packed now, load the car right after class, speed home" bit, but I'm feeling really lazy, so I'm just waiting on the coffee. Yep.
Oh, what a boring life I lead. Happy weekend!

Man, I'm having a hard time keeping up with all of this!
I can't remember exactly why that lady sat on the toilet for two years (I heard about the same thing) but I think it had something to do with the fact that she refused to leave the bathroom because of anxiety issues. I only heard part of the news story, but I swear they said her skin had grown to the toilet seat and police and medics had to come take her away. Personally, after a couple of hours my butt would hurt badly enough to at least STAND UP for a minute. Her boyfriend might be facing neglect charges for having allowed her to stay there.
Liz, I can't wait to read that story! I got the alert in my inbox this morning
Yeah, my spring break was last week, and it was only a five day weekend. *Shrugs* Better than not getting one at all, I suppose. At least it's only one more month before school is out!

yeah I read it on aol this morning too about that lady, her boyfriend kept asking her to come out and she would always say maybe tomorrow. Her behind had some open sores that caused her to be fused with the seat and the firefighters and paramedics had to use a crowbar I believe to pry the seat off the toilet. Her boy friend brought her food and water everyday and I think he said that the only real thing he was guilty of was not getting help sooner.

Tens; Her boyfriend was feeding and taking care of her the whole time! Now, why wouldn't he call someone earlier, just because his girlfirned said she would come out another day? I swear ... I'm almost embarressed to say I'm and Ohian too. -but not really, just my parents are natives here-
I know, isn't it great to talk about yourself? Your room mate might sound like a bull, but my brother sounds like a clown. His feet are so big, and he walks so lazily, his feet slap down like a clown's shoe in the morning, and whenever my mom hears my brother, she starts singing clown music. 0.o;;
Keira; Her skin did grow on to it! They had to take the toilet seat off before they could take her to the hospital. All because she had a phobia of leaveing the bathroom ... My butt would start to hurt too.
Hannie; My aunt is staying at my house because she broke her ankle, she had to get screws and stuff in it because it was broken so bad. Hope you heal fast!
Nittanylizard; I had started to read your story, and then I had to stop. I was about to eat dinner, and as I was putting my fork to my mouth I caught sight of the first line,a dn was like," I think this can wait 'til later!" Sad thing is, I can describe worse at the dinner table and my stomach won't be bothered the least bit, but somebody else starts talking about throwing up, and it just isn't pretty. All have to check it out later though! x3
Well, I'm off to edit and stylize some writing assignments, and hopefully finish my story for the Rumble. Maybe spit on a couple of old ladies heads ...
Peace, love and a good night's sleep to everyone!

Speaking of feet, I was walking down a nearly-empty elementary school hallway today and I had no ideas my shoes were so squeaky. I tried the walking-slower trick and it didn't do much good, but as soon as I sped up it just got worse, haha.
I'm learning to play some classic rock songs on the guitar now. My instructor totally kicks butt. I'm working on Smoke on the Water, Crazy Train, and Sweet Home Alabama right now. Now all I need is an electric guitar... (which he gave me permission to buy. If only I had that kind of money readily available). But, that'll have to wait, I suppose.

That's really cool. x3 I wish I could send my electric guitar to you, since so far I've had no chance to use it. xD;;

Haha, that's sweet of you, Sharp I already promised myself a new acoustic guitar for next semester, seeing as my current one is cheap and a little too small for me. It makes it slightly more difficult to learn, but I'm still working on it! I was trying to convince my boss, who has an OLD electric guitar, to let me use his. After he finished laughing he said that it was probably broken and has been unseen and in storage for years.

My guitar was a gift from my grandfather, he got it in Guam while he was in the Air Force in ... '59? I don't know, it's pretty old, but I got it fixed up so it's usable. x3 -I just need a teacher!-
Acoustic guitars are nice. I learned some chords and songs on one a year ago, but don't remember any of it now. xD;;

Well, we're going out to dinner, simply because the only thing we have in the house is chicken patties and we had them last night. P.S. I was EveryRoseHasAThorn, but I forgot my password.

I ordered dinner because the weather was bad and I couldn't get out food shopping this morning. It was okay because I took the time to finish up the last couple of things I wanted to do to my story, and then I sent out an email query this afternoon. It was promptly rejected, lol, but I would have been very surprised if this guy had requested a partial. He doesn't represent much young adult work, but I know he gets a lot of queries for it, so it has to really stand out. But I read his blog every day, so it just seemed wrong to not send him a query, heheh. Kind of like my own personal, "It's finished!" celebration. He's a cool guy. Let's see, what else . . . My husband has been away since last Saturday. He's in Hungary for work and is supposed to be home late tomorrow night. After his plane lands at 7pm he's got about a 3.5 hour drive home. We're quite ready to see him again .

This place's activity has died down... but I'm not one to talk... I hardly ever come on here anymore xD
Um so lately I've been listening to all these old bands because upon my arrival at my new school I was put in History of Rock and Roll. So I've been having writing problems due to The Beatles obsession that I seem to have developed. But we just got on spring break, and it snowed on Easter.
Which brings up another point. I'm in no way ready for the weather here. In Oregon it was always so rainy and here it never rains, and it snows. I hate snow... with a burning passion... but anyway. I think I'm anemic again so I had to go get some iron supplements things.

All because she had a phobia of leaveing the bathroomFor the record, that isn't why she didn't leave. News sources are writing it like a joke because it's such an unusual story, and not giving the full story because it would be much less funny if everyone knew what had actually happened. She'd been sick prior and laying around in bed, was getting better, went to the bathroom, but her muscles had already started to atrophy, so she felt weak, stayed there for a laaaaarge, unusual amount of time (three days?), and needless to say, her muscles atrophied to the point where she was unable to get up. Or so said an original news article that I saw in print, which I tend to take more seriously than fox news online. So the lesson is, even if you're sick, get up and around! Need to think of something for dinner, now...

MissMouse; Really? The article I read said she had a phobia of leaving the bathroom ... That could have developed after her muscles gave out on her and everything, though.
NittanyLizzard; Oh, keep us up to date on your book's progress! And congratulations on your first rejection, I'm sure it'll be the first and last you get. x3
Nothing too exciting has happened with me, except a new library I went to had the whole 2nd season of Supernatural, so I've been drooling over Jensen Ackles and the Impala. Man, I love that show .... =) Anyone else watch any new shows/movies?

sharpshooter - I bought and watched season 1 of Surface, which was on for just one season in 2006. One of the three main characters was played by Jay R. Ferguson, who played Ponyboy in The Outsiders TV series.
He was fantastic and the show was amazing, so I'm very disappointed that they canceled it. It has a big following and tons of fans who tried to get it back on the air when it was canceled, but I somehow just found out about it when I started looking for more stuff to see Jay in. I don't watch much TV, hahah. My kids also loved it.
Oh, and for anybody who's looking for something to watch tonight, there's a movie on the SciFi channel at 9pm that Boyd Kestner is in (Darry from the TV series). It looks quite creepy and intriguing, so I'll be watching and folding clothes (and possibly biting my nails ;D) while I wait for my husband to get home.
