-laughing- Humour is the only thing that can get up in the mornings, Tens. Especially with three boys to drag out of bed and send off to school. And the fact that all three are into practical jokes doesn't make me want to touch anything before I've had my first cup of coffee. LOL! You could always take the intiative and play a practical joke on them first. Now, that might surprise them. Although, just be ready for months of "retaliation" jokes. I grew up an only child, and I'm exhausted just reading your descriptions of "death tag" Wishing you & the whole family the best.

I love reading Darry centric fics. I've read some excellent fics, and some OOC fics, where, as others have mentioned before, Darry is either WAY overcoddling, or even more OOC, he's downright abusive and cruel.
.I would love to see stories focusing on Darry's interactions with his old friends. We know what happened with Paul; but considering that he still goes *water skiing* (Thanks for the tidbit!) with his old high school buddies; he must obviously have good relations with some of them. I'd imagine that while the trips are a great way for Darry to be a normal 20 year old; they must also be somewhat awkward; in seeing how different his life and the lives of his friends have turned out. I wonder if Darry would feel as if he can't relate to them the same way he could before, or vice versa.

I like to think of Darry as being much like me in the 'guardian' department. I don't obsess with my brothers' welfare, nor do I follow them around wanting to know where they're going or who they're going with, but I do like to know who their friends are and a general idea of where they'll be in case I need to get a hold of them.
Cell phones rock! Especially the Family Plan!

June 11 -- that's early for getting out of school? Wow. One of my friends gets out at the end of May. We got out on the 5th (of June) this year and apparently next year we get out on the 3rd, which is awesome.
... But the dates we actually go back just keep getting shorter and shorter; this year it was the 21st of August, next year it is apparently the 18th. It's really unfair. D:

My school district always finished the last Friday of May. I believe it was the third Thursday of August that we returned to school, but I'm not sure on that. Either way, school was always over before June.
Before I reached middle school, though, my elementary school was a year round school, which meant that we got out in June and went back in early August, but we had a break in the middle of the year for 3 weeks. We could either take the 3 weeks off or attend what was called "intersession" where you could take fun classes of your chosing, such as dance, art, etc... My mom always had us go to intersession, because 1) She didn't want to lose her precious alone-time, lol, and 2) Because it was free. I had a blast, though. I wouldn't trade those memories for anything.

I'm jealous, school ends mid July here lol and we go back in the first couple of weeks of September. Except this year school ends for me when exams are over, because it's my final year (then it's on to uni hopefully). Another Illusion

Let's see...School is pretty funny here. We start on the 5th of September every year that its a week day. The semester ends on the 20th of December (the 6th-20th being exam dates, so no one counts it as in class) and the new year always begins on January 5th. Then we're always done by the 27th of April. It's nice.

I was wondering, do you guys break up earlier in the Summer as you don't get half terms? Half terms, for any who don't know, are generally one week holidays in the middle of a full term, eg. Autumn/Spring/Summer terms here. Another Illusion
