How's everybody doing with reviews? Anything you were particularly proud of? Did you get some useful information or see something about your story that you didn't notice? Has anyone gotten any hurtful reviews and want to get it off your chest? Need help figuring out how to reply to a review? Bring it on!  |

I haven't been writing much in the Outsiders category, but I've written an Across the Universe fanfic that's gotten some good reviews, my favorite being
"My only real issue is more of a warning; if you slow down or give shorter installments, people may kidnap you and make you write faster from their basements..."
which I'm taking as a compliment... XD

I dunno, it seems like fewer people review recently, rather they prefer to just add to favorites and the like. I personally am not bothered with it, but it leaves me little to work with in this post!
My favorite review had to have come from my uncle years ago when I was writing on the Alberta Health Care reform in 2003 (not exactly fan fiction, but it always makes me chuckle):
"I read it. I don't get it, but you used a lot of big words and your teacher put a star on it. That deserves a cookie. Go find me one."
Such a nurturing environment I grew up in...

i'm doing an original fantasy fic that i'm posting on adultfanfiction.net...i've only gotten one review so far, but it was positive...they said that it was kinda like lord of the rings, but in a good way, like in the descriptions and the deep history of the place, etc. i've only gotten two chapters up so far, hopefully more reviews will come once i start posting more! and i love your uncle's response, tens lol that made my day. |
