When this forum was opened, we started with a set of rules that we could review at a later point based on what we learned from working with our members. Since then, we have discussed what we all want this forum to be about, and have adjusted the posted rules so that they fit with the way the forum actually runs.
There is one rule that we ask you to follow:
1. Be respectful of other posters and writers. All that means is that blatant personal attacks on other members or writers are prohibited. This includes the negative targeting of specific authors and/or fanfics without their permission. Rants are fine, as long as they are general and don't name names. We would like to keep this a supportive and constructive environment for everybody, including those who may someday approach this forum looking for help with their writing.
This rule may be adjusted or added to if something happens that we didn’t account for, but for the most part, we are leaving things open for whatever discussions our members want to have.
