I'm working on a Tim and Darry friendship-ish fic and I want to know all the known facts about Tim and Darry so that I can make them as in-character as possible. (Which with my planned plot might actually be do-able, btw) All I have for reference is The Outsiders, so if there are any facts about either of them that aren't in the book or that are hard to find in the book, I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks, kdlaxgoalie

Tim is in TWTTIN. In it, he and Curly beat the crap out of the ex boyfriend of his sister, Angela, because he believes that the ex cut off her hair.
I think that's all he does, lol. Curly jumps a hippy, but there's only the one mention of Tim.

You have a really great opportunity to build a friendship between the two of them and shape it because of how little we do see of Tim in her stories. If only we were all so lucky!
The only other source I can think of would be the TV series, since there was a more prominent role for him in there. Perhaps that would be a good resource, if you can view it.

Does anyone consider the TV show cannon? Because I definitely don't. Darry taking Ponyboy camping so he can lose his virginity? LOL SO NOT DARRY!

Yeah, the Tim in the TV series isn't what I would call the Tim Shepard of the books. All the characters are a little skewed, but he's not even close to be the same person. In the show, he's a felon right out of prison who's trying to turn his life around, is a softy, and has no gang. He just happens to have the same name.

Haha! That sounds soooo OOC for Darry! I actually haven't seen the show, just knew S.E. Hinton had been involved with it and perhaps her characters would be preserved - ha - but that scene with Darry sounds hilarious! Like a spoof on a national/international level. Ah, we all aspire for our lousy fan fiction to make it that far
Thanks for the laugh, Missmouse!
