Today is the day that the most brilliant, smart, sophisticated and good looking actor of all time was born and he was good enough to play a few roles in S.E. Hinton movies. In The Outsiders, he was a simple shop clerk. In Rumblefish, he was a cop. These are two among hundreds (literally) of roles.
So happy 76th birthday to William Smith! He's still acting and directing after starting his movie career in 1959 and his TV career in 1942. Around all that, he was a body builder and a professor of Russian at UCLA. Wow. I can only hope to do some of that, and the body building is out.
I still think we should have made this a tribute site to him, but no one is listening any more...
