"Some call it arrogant I call it confident" Beyonce's song "Ego" from her new CD. Hey, y'all!! Sorry I've been gone for so long, school has been getting to me, applying for college, and looking for a job . Anyway, I just wanted to put up a new subject for everyone that I've been thinking about recently. When it comes to the title of this subject what's the difference between arrogance ;D(arrogant look) and confidence (Confidant look). Feel free to use examples.

Arrogance is when you are almost overbearing in your sense of pride or knowledge or anything. Confidence is far more reserved.
For example Arrogance would be "I know I can do this because I'm way better than you are at this, and you could do it, so I KNOW I'll be able to."
Confidence would be "I know I can do this because I've practiced hard and feel sure of my abilities."
At least, that's what I think.

That's cool. What about mixing up the two, someone mistaking confidence for arrogance?

It's easy to mistake the two, especially if you don't know the person. If you're more pessimistic, you might tend to think that people are being arrogant, but if you're more likely to be open to seeing the good in people or situations, you might perceive it as confidence. People are often a little bit of both. For example, they might know they are good at something and are very proud of it, so it comes off as being show-offish, but really, they're just proud of their accomplishments, or whatever. It really just depends on how good someone is at masking their emotions when it comes to certain things... I feel like I'm being very cryptic.. is any of this making any sense at all? Lol.
