Guests and New Members

Hey guys,

I was a little ahead of myself when I stated that there were no rules around here that needed to be enforced. I had to do something admin like tonight - shocking, huh? - in regards to some rule breaking.

A post was deleted from the "Stories you wish were updated" thread for webspeak, gibberish, and language. This is the first time we've come across this problem, which speaks wonders for our members.

So a big thank you goes out to everyone who is sparing my eyes from this sort of thing.

The point of this little note is to remind all our new members and guests to read the Rules so this doesn't happen again. As well, guests are now restricted to only being able to post in the Rumble section, as it was a guest post that was removed.

This is a double post, and not to shove it down anyone's throats, but to make sure it shows up in both places it's needed.

I'll probably have some angry people busting down my door, but I think it's time we exercised a little more self control on threads. I have nothing against straying off topic for a while, but to go off topic for the sake of going off topic is a little ridiculous. I'm thinking people will go to a certain thread because they're interested in that topic, not going off of topic I need to work on this as well, so no worries, anyone. I am sorry that I deleted a bit of garble, but I do think 2 1/2 pages of it is quiet enough I'm thrilled there's an entire thread for Matt now It's been long past needed, lol. I'm also hoping people now know that it's an option to create threads whenever they please, and I encourage everyone to exercise that authority.

One more thing! I discovered that somehow in my lack-of-sleep/wanting-to-stay-away-from-homework induced crazy last night, that two entire pages of threads from Lost and Found completely disappeared. Being the oh-so lucky person that I turned out to be, I was able to recover them all. Because of that though, I don't know if some things that were moved to a new board have been moved back to Lost and Found or not. In any case, I'll try and get that sorted out as the day goes on, but unfortunately I have school in an hour and can't do it until after work which is over long after my that.

Sorry again to those irritated by the changes. In a few days it'll work out it's kinks and things will be much clearer. I like the idea of being able to to go a Movie thread to find discussion on the movies instead of searching five pages of random posts to find the one I'm looking for, lol.
