How do you think Ponyboy looks and behaves?

In the book Sodapop is described as the best looking of all the guys.But don't you think Ponyboy is equally good looking?Because when Ponyboy and Johnny meet Cherry for the first time she says she can tell Ponyboy is Sodapop's brother since the two look alike.Johnny also says the same thing to Ponyboy at a later time.

Moreover Ponyboy is portrayed as a good,smart,quiet and sensitive kid.He's highly imaginative and appears way more innocent than the average teenagers according to me.But then again we come over to this part where Dallas is trying to embarass Cherry and Marcia and Ponyboy says if they were some greaser girls he might have even helped Dallas! "We still watch a nice girl go by on a street and say all kinds of lousy stuff about her." Here "we" includes Ponyboy I guess.There is also the mention of Ponyboy picking up girls and there he says "girls are one subject even Darry thinks I use my head about." In sharp contrast with his otherwise almost angelic innocence!

I think that Ponyboy is a teenage boy and has the tendency to act obnoxious like the rest of the gang when he's around them, at least some of the time, and yet he also has his sweet demeanor that is who he truly is when he's alone or with people whom he feels he can be himself around. But really, I think he acts pretty normal for a 14 year old boy. He's seen a lot, heard a lot, and experienced more than some of us ever will, but he hasn't been completely jaded by the world yet.

As for his looks, I agree that he looks like Soda. There are enough subtle hints dropped in the book to suggest that he has a lot of the same features as Sodapop and that he is very good looking. There's a point where Johnny tells Pony that he's just as good looking as Soda, and Pony acts as though he doesn't believe it, but you can tell he at least WANTS to, but I'm sure he does. I haven't read that section of the book in a while, so I may be off on that.

Add to that, if you've ever read That Was Then, This Was Now, Ponyboy is referred to as being a conceited guy, 'because he knows he's good looking' or something to that effect. So, I think it's pretty well documented that he's a cute guy, lol.

Ah, he's good looking, he just doesn't admit it. He's modest- some people just never see themselves as good looking as they are (then there's the opposites who brag about being good looking when they aren't so hot!). He looks a lot like Soda, very good looking, and I think that as he ages he probably realizes it.

I think that people think that he's some shy guy who talks about sunsets all the time, but thats definitely not the case. He acts all rough and tumble- if he tried talking to Two-Bit about sun sets, he'd get laughed at, so obviously he's not the shy sensitive guy all the time, lol.
