No, there aren't any stupid questions! I got a lot of help from Tensleep when I first joined ffnet. First off, do you have an account there? If not, you need to create one, and then you have to wait about three days before you can post. Once you're ready to post, here's the rundown: 1. Log in to your account. 2. Select "Documents" from the menu on the left. 3. In the "Upload New Document" area that comes up on the page, type in a label for your document (such as the story name / chapter number); that's just for your own reference. 4. Click on "Browse" on the "File on Computer" line; you'll get a window that has information about the documents on your computer. Just find your document and double-click to add it, and then click "done" when you're finished. 5. NOW, you can click on "stories" on your main account page. 6. Up in the right corner there is a series of selections (Stories Guide, List Stories, New Story, etc.). Click on "New Story". 7. It will tell you that you need to read the guidelines and accept them, then you click on the line at the bottom saying that you agree to follow the guidelines. 8. Now you get a link for "New Story". Just follow the instructions from there on out to select the category, genre, etc., and to upload your document. That's where you'll be able to include the story's title, summary, rating, and other stuff like that. Once your story is uploaded, you will have the option of making changes and checking to make sure it's formatted the way you want it to be. If it all looks okay, there will be an option to add the story or chapter (I couldn't go quite that far right now, as I don't have a story just yet to upload, lol). Good luck, and just post here (or send me a PM/email) if you have any problems or questions. Liz

Once your story is uploaded, you will have the option of making changes and checking to make sure it's formatted the way you want it to be. Definitely do this. Sometimes ff.net really mucks things up when you upload them and you end up with all kinds of wacky formatting that you have to fix up.

i didn't have any problems this time around, but i'll definitely keep that in mind for the future...i'm thinking of doing a series of vignettes about darry's perspective after a couple of big events...
