Sometime in the next month and a half I may have a chance to visit Tulsa, Oklahoma while on business in Oklahoma City. If I make it out there I will most likely only have one full day to go 'site seeing', but I was wondering what all of you would like to see if ever given the chance to visit Tulsa. I want to take many pictures while I'm out there
Are there any settings you've ever wondered if they were based off a real place or were an actual real place?

I want to see if I can track down the river/bridge from Rumble Fish, and the park and high school from the movies and books. If the castle-like hotel is still standing, I want to see that, too. There are so many things, I hope one day will cover it, lol.
If anyone has any links to articles or knows where these landmarks can be found, I'd be very grateful to know.
Btw, what's the Coach store?

Coach is a Designer brand of accessories. shoes, purses, etc. but are mostly known for their purses.
i'm in love with the brand, tough others seem to think it's ugly. it's all about personal opinion, i guess.

I'm fond of Coach, I have two of their bags. Looks very nice, and it's great quality.

Smart thinking. I was just wondering if there were any other settings that we haven't had a chance to see pictures of yet, that people around here might like to see if I get the chance to make it out there.

i was watching the extra features dvd today, and susie was talking about all the places that inspired the places in the book...she said that one time, when she was driving by the drive-in that was in the movie [still working] they were showing the outsiders...and it was the drive-in movie scene! hahaha! how's that for weird?
she also said that one time when she was at the movies, there were a couple of girls that had a fight with their boyfriends, and so they left them and went to sit in the seats to watch the movie, and that little bit became part of the book. isn't that cool?

I remember reading somewhere about the girls leaving their boyfriends, but I can't say I ever heard that she drove past the theater watching the scene of them at that theater. That seems like it would be set up for some weird time warp scenario there, haha.
Yeah, it doesn't look like I'll be going to Oklahoma after all, which I'm slightly bummed out about. I'm only bummed, because that means NO possibility of Tulsa. The work part would have been horrid, for sure. Horrid's not even a strong enough word for it, lol. But, my boss decided he didn't want me gone for so long and is opting to have our work shipped out here to us instead. *Waves a small flag*. I'm even less excited over that, lol.
