I’m sure that at least some of you have been confused over the past week, with respect to some missing members and deleted posts. So we, the moderators, felt it would be a good idea to clear things up for our members.
A few of our members felt that our forum just wasn’t what they were looking for and, as many of you already know, developed another forum to better fit their needs. Naturally, our members are under absolutely no obligation to check with us before they move on or create another forum, and we wish them the best. What we feel is important for everyone here to understand, though, is that we were unaware that anybody had concerns about the WSOTT forum until they deleted their accounts. Our intention has always been to work with our members to create a forum that we can all enjoy, so we apologize if that was not clear, and we encourage all of you to communicate with us if you see something that could be improved, or if something has happened that you don’t agree with.
As a result of this occurrence, we (the moderators) are concerned that other members may have issues with the forum, as well. We have been working together to review the site and our rules, but we would like your input.
If any of you have questions, complaints, or concerns, please, do not hesitate to let us know! This forum is made up of its members and, as such, we would like it to be a place where everybody is comfortable and can have a good time. We are working on another rules page that should make it clearer what you can expect from us, and from this site. But again, your input is important to us. You won’t offend or insult anyone, and nobody will take your comments personally.
Moving back to the deleted accounts, you might also have noticed that all of the posts associated with those members are gone. Apparently they were automatically deleted when those members deleted their accounts (learn something new every day). We don’t know if they can be somehow retrieved for the sake of getting some of the threads back to making sense, but if not, we apologize for the lost information. If anybody knows if there is a way to get the posts back, please contact us.
In addition to creating open discussions on this board, you can email/PM any one of us if there are concerns that you would prefer to bring up in a more private setting. Again, you’re not going to offend us .
Lastly, we want to stress that nobody should feel uncomfortable about visiting and posting on both forums. We are not in competition, and hope that our members are able to get something enjoyable out of both sites.
