Who are your favorite canon pairing to read , write about or just in general?
Mine are Dallas and Sylvia its like fighting fire with fire with those to I think.Dallas is so strong and confident why does he keep going to a girl who cheats on him and what is Sylvia's past and history that make her run out on Dallas there are some many options to explore with those two.

Steve and Evie, like Mars. They seem to fit together the best.
I like to write about Sandy, though. In a nice way, not turning her into a total b*tch.

I think Soda and Sandy would be an interesting read if it was of coruse well written and yes Steve and Evie is a really good pairing.

I love reading Dallas and Sylvia. Just the thing of a crazy girl and a tough-as-nails guy continuously breaking up. I'm considering writing a one-shot about them getting in a small fuss.
Steve and Evie are good, too. The only thing is Evie is such an opened character, she'd be an easy MS.

Steve and Evie hands down. I love reading about their relasionship because it's interesting to see what some author's come up with. Besides, like artemis said, whatever girl dates Steve would have to be PRETTY strong!

Dally and Sylvia. It interests me why they are together, and especially why he is with her. I imagine it as pretty dysfunctional. I'm trying to write it.

Its interesting thinking about what sort of person Sylvia is. She seems very hard and sort of immoral, the way Ponyboy describes her. But Dally is attracted to her for a reason, so she must have something going for her.
Obviously good looks could be one, I imagine she is beautiful so he wants her. It depends on what sort of girl he would be attracted to, does he want to feel like the protector (similar to his feelings toward Johnny), does he want someone who doesn't demand anything from him, is she somehow unobtainable and he wants what he can't have.

I think I like all the canon pairings. I'm dying to write a Dally/Sylvia - it's eating my brain. I like what artemis said about her not being taught good relationship skills. I've been there - when you can't seem to get through to the guy, no matter what you do, and you care about him, you just do stupid things to try and get his attention. (I could see that being the basis for a bunch of crap that happens - even something like the way Steve's dad treats him.) I always kind of thought Sylvia didn't really give a damn about the other guys, and she cheated because of Dallas. Or, maybe she doesn't care about any of them that much - maybe it's just a game to her. But, I love that the canon pairings are basically open - Sylvia, Evie and Kathy have so little written about their characters that they can almost be OFCs.
