TehNetteSpeaks: I often write in a notebook, too, and I get myself horribly tangled and stopped. That's when I stop and take what I have and get it on the computer. Have you ever tried that? I find that when I have it in Word it's easier to change things and get the flow back. I know that it's not the same as flowing the first time, but if you can continue it on the computer as opposed to rewriting it...meh, I have some odd logic.

I've got bits and pieces of fics I've either never posted, or chopped for one reason or another. It's almost like I have a junk yard on my hard drive since I end up reusing bits and pieces of them that I like in fics I'm currently posting.  |

Wanted to just add that I was originally going to have my OC fall apart and become a drunken wastrel thief after realizing Vietnam was around the corner and he was likely to get drafted. 'Course, I never used that angle but it was fun writing a totally angsty piece about Shawn getting plotzed all the time and then committing Death by Shepard + Cop.
I just decided to kill him off a bit sooner. Heh.

I have two unused one shots. One's about Steve reflecting on the news Johhny has killed a Soc, the other is about Two-Bit going off the rails a bit so is too angsty to use.

I have almost a whole story that I've written on scraps of paper from my desk. It looks like someone was playing rippy bits with a manuscript.  I've been hesitating on transfering it to Word since one of my OC's is killed in it, so it will stay as a collage for a while longer. |

Once I wrote a whole story...about 15 chapters...on post-it notes and index cards. I have thousands of those!
