It can't be true! But I think it is.
In Tex, the hitchhiker. Is he Mark from That Was Then, This Is Now?
Can't be.
Was he?
Nah. But... I read Tex a while ago, and then, while discussing it with a friend of mine...
Is it true? It can't be. But my friend insists.

I knew about Cathy and everything. It was just... I don't know why, but I thought that Mark... oh, nevermind. I just got all weirded out when I thought of that. I knew that Cathy was the teacher, but...
Woah. Mark is Tex's half-brother? That I never knew.

Wow, I just learned a whole lesson there! How cool! I knew of some of the references like Mark being Tex's half-brother but the rest I didn't!

Are there any connections in/to "Rumble Fish?" That one seems to be floating along all by itself...
It's a shame, because some of the characters from "The Outsiders" would really fit in and vice versa.

I saw one thing.
In the Outsiders, when Ponyboy's mentioning the gangs, he says Tiber Street Tigers. In Rumble Fish, Rusty-James talks about three years earlier a member from the Tiber Street Tigers killed a member of his gang, the Packers.

Well, hey, maybe all the gangs get along just peachy.
Lol, I think he just means in comparison to the New York gangs. Or he's just a sweet little fourteen-year-old, lol.
Those are some awesome connection skillz, guys.

Now someone needs to go ahead and bring The Outsiders and Rumble Fish together into a single, awesome story...
Any takers?

Wow, now there's a thought!! I loved the Motorcycle Boy.....especially Mickey Rourke playing him. He was so perfect!

Hehe. I also love the Motorcycle Boy. Rourke was definitely perfect Well...it wouldn't be easy to use Rumble Fish characters tied into the Outsiders. But a thought I had the other day was--why not use brothers and sisters? Example, I'm using Biff Wilcox's older brother to ask Angela out. I wonder what you can do to the Wilcox family...

Oh fabulous!!!
There's a whole background to be had on Biff.....what we need is to get a Rumble Fish section up on ff.net.

I really love Susie's ability to weave lines to tie her books together without being blatant about it.
