Oh man, I totally agree. The movie actors seemed much more stable in their roles, and I completely agree that the TV show writing warped the characters more than the actors did. The actors were all decent with what they had to work with I think... It's so funny to me how some of the writing for the chars on that show fall into the category from the pet peeves thread here. (Mother-Darry for instance.) Not that it was all bad - there are some hilarious moments (*cough* fishing trip *cough*). I may be sick, but that one made me *laugh*.

You know, I wasn't sure if it was just me for a while there. The writing really irked me, too. They have these wonderful characters to work with and the best they can do is turn them completely out of character to match the plots they came up with. Anyone else see the one where Soda hocks their mother's ring and think it was completely improbable?

I've read several fan fictions with better plots to them. Perhaps we should all become screen writers and get the show going again. That would be funny! Yeah, I have a very odd sense of ha ha...But still. I always planned to get a show going when I hit my midlife crisis. When I get there, I'll let you know.

You know, I was watching the Stand By Me last night, and I was thinking, Kiefer would of made a good Dally.

He has the blonde white hair, and the elfish looking face. If his hair had been longer, in my eyes he would of been perfect for Dal'.

Think I'll go surfing for my own cast now...

Jeez, no kidding. Who else devotes so many hours to figuring out the characters, and new situations they could get into, and how they would deal with them... Except of course the author, lol.

For some really werid reason when I read Tim Shepard fanfictions I picutre the gang leader who rivals Danny Sukos gang in grease.But I really like how Glenn Withrow played the part Tim.
