Do you ever finish writing a story and feel like you missed the point?
I left my fic for a good two years, and came back to it with a whole different reason to why I was writing it. I like the new premise a lot better, but unfortunately it took awhile to get to that place, and it feels very different from the beginning. I think it's disappointing - both to the readers and to me. Because the beginning was so different, I don't think I ended up achieving what I wanted in the long run with the fic.
Especially all yous who don't update very often, or who turn truant in the middle of the story like me, lol, do you ever find yourself looking at the beginning of a fic after you're done and thinking that it has nothing to do with what you ended up saying?

LOL, this is off topic (off my own, topic, sheesh, lol) but I just realized where I stole the title for this thread from. Sorry latch! But, I guess that story stuck with me. Change of Plans: www.fanfiction.net/s/3313265/1/
