Our dear Latch22 passed along to me a fantastic writing prompt from Writer's Digest. So thankies to her for supplying the topic on this one!
A Sticky Situation:
When you woke up this morning, you didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Oddly enough, it turned into a day you would never forget...
Write a story that starts with the phrase: "If it wasn't for that (fill in the blank), I wouldn't be stuck in this pickle," and ends with "And that's how I ended up duct-taped to the (fill in the blank)."
It's supposed to be around five hundred words, but who the hell can stick to just 500 words? Use that as a minimum if you want. 6 pages max, as usual. Any POV acceptable and so forth.
Ends October 1st
