It's definately an interesting idea - if Dally were real and alive today, I imagine that he would have professionals trying to diagnose him with some sort of disorder.
I saw a documentry on personality types, and the theory some people are born inclined to 'risk taking' behaviour. In the right environment and with support that person might 'take risks' in sport, for example. But if that person lacks family support, doesn't have opportunities to succeed, lives in an area where they see a lot of violence, gangs, - then the risks they take are likey to involve committing crime, fighting, etc.

FAS-Fetal Alcohol Syndrome I could picture him with that. It would give him poor cause-and-effect, an unforgettable appearance, as well as a small stature. And FAS leads too many other behavioral problems. There's my two-bits.

Yeah, I had Dallas in prison and needed someone for him to talk to and the whole scenario just took off from there. I see Dallas as being confused and afraid of any feelings he may have towards people - he doesn't react the way a normal person would. He becomes frustrated and angry and pushes people away (at least in my story he does, lol).

Thanks guys. It's fun to write Dally and figure out what makes him tick. He's also great for getting rid of any anger and aggression. I always write him best after I talk to my mother, lol.
