At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I still don't see what age has to do with that. It doesn't matter one bit to me that they're twelve. They could be thirty and write terribly. Instead they're twelve and write well. They lucked out. Unless they're incredibly young, can't the focus be more on their writing ability than wonder at the fact that they were able to string a few words together and form a coherent sentence?
And if I sound self-righteous, then it's because I really need to go to bed.

I agree, that is an awesome little one-shot! It's too bad more writers (let alone 12-year-old ones) aren't like that! If there were, ff.net would be a much better place!!

Man, Live2Read has a lot of really deep writing. Check out I Didn't Mean It when you have the chance--it's really, really good.

I didn't mean because she's 12 she couldn't put words together to form a coherent sentence. I just meant that she has amazing insight at her young age! I was extremely impressed. Even the fact that at 30, someone can be a moron, this person is so young but has such a good grasp on feeling. And look....I couldn't even spell TWELVE!

I figured that the 'coherent sentence' thing might be a bit much. That's not quite quite I meant. Really, I shouldn't be on the Internet when I have a headache and feel daring. I probably end up doing/saying stupid things.
I'm not going to argue because then it'll just sound like I'm touting my enormous ego. I just meant that I'm not impressed by her insight, even if she is twelve. I'm pleased, but not impressed.

You mean...that's not the way you spell it? Just kidding The author really has stories that points out things not a lot of people noticed. Like the whole Johnny being stronger than the rest...if that isn't deep, I don't know what is.

Wow! I couldn't form a sentence when I was twelve...Or now really, for that matter... I'm impressed, but latch22 does bring up a point... I'm torn, but here's to the little girl! Wow, think where she'll be when she's twenty?

...Samanthamae showed me the link to this place, and I had to create an account just to respond to this. I have never felt more complimented. Ever. Eeeeever. I was stunned when I read this. Shocked. I... I don't know. I just needed to sign up to say that... Thanks. Oh, and thanks, Samantha, for telling me about this.

Just to clarify, Live2Read, I never meant that you are not talented. You are. I just meant that age is irrelevent, because you are talented period, not just for your age. There was a certain flow to that story that was beautiful.
I hope that you hang around. This is a pretty interesting place, and we're one hell of a bunch!
Cheers!

Don't worry about it. I TOTALLY get what you mean about the age thing. I wasn't offended at the least.
I think I just might hang around for a while. I never knew about this place earlier.

Well, that's good, then. And it's also good that you plan to stick around. You never know what might happen; when you get a bunch of writers together, all hell breaks loose. The more opinions, the merrier! (Since, you know, no brawls can ensue, as this is the Internet...)
Cheers!
