Six degrees of separation with those two books ... i.e. Tom Cruise as Steve ... Outsiders, Hawkes Harbor, Susie, Scientology! lmao

Hawkes Harbor is actually the one S. E. Hinton book that I disliked. I didn't even finish it - I simply couldn't. I liked the style at the beginning, especially with the doctor and all. I tend to like books like that, and I was really enjoying it. I loved reading about Kell and Jamie's adventures, like the one with the shark. That one definitely made me smile. But then when Grenville was introduced, I couldn't believe it. A vampire, in a S. E. Hinton book? It just didn't seem to fit. In my opinion, at least. I'm not a vampire kind of person, to tell the truth, at all. I continued reading for a while, hoping that it would get better, but eventually I just had to put it down and not pick it back up. I'm still curious, though, as to what happens, seeing I only got around halfway through it. I guess I was expecting some kind of huge explosion where I'd realise what had happened. Then you realise Grenville was a vampire, and all the mystery flies out the window. I don't know. Maybe I just got put off by the vampire thing. It just wasn't my cup of tea, I guess. I liked the style at the beginning, though. Jamie seemed like a brilliant character, and like so many of you guys, I loved Kell
