I just finished playing Mario Kart 64, and I swear, it should be against the law for me to play video games. I get far too frustrated--no matter what game. So, anyway, do any of you guys play video games? And although I sound like the world's biggest nerd, I have to ask

Not really - my friends got Nintendo Wii and I played, like, five rounds of Monkey Bowling and I couldn't move my shoulder the next day ... kind of pathetic, lol.

Haha! Monkey Bowling, that just sounds funny ...
I like video games only when I'm completely out of it and need something incredibly mindless to do, lol. (Or when I'm just bored out of my mind, but when that happens video games just bore me even more, lol.)
I like Crazy Taxi. They only give you like ... fifteen minutes per round or whatever, but I just like driving around and picking up "customers," lol. I just listen to my headphones while I do it, and it's just mindless and keeps me occupied for a while. Same with Splashdown.
Oh! And the Sims. Gotta love them.
Talk to my dad about video games -- the man is a Zelda fiend. Let me tell you. He started playing the first game once when we got it ... and I swear to God, he would stay up till like two or three in the morning playing it, just trying to beat it. And he would get every game that came out, and just this past Christmas, my mom bought him the newest one for GameCube (which was a really bad idea on her part, because we barely saw or spoke to him for days, lol), and he beat it in like three weeks. Not kidding.
Now my brother's got him all addicted to YouTube, but that's a different story altogether.
I like the Nancy Drew video games a lot, but those are for the computer. Of course, that does kind of make them easier ... I have one that I got two Christmases ago, and I still haven't played it yet, because it's one of those double disc deals and won't work on my computer, lol. They're not easy, either. They really challenge you. And it's better that way but when you happen to be a tad slow in that department (like me, aha), it takes you forever to get past one obstacle, lol. No wonder I've given up on so many of them. :p

A few years ago my flat had no tv reception for a while so we played playstation every night and it was kind of fun - it was a game based on that movie The Fast and the Furious so it was just drag racing. I really sucked at it though.

I don't own a Nintendo Wii. I think it ruins the purpose of video games Queen Jane, I love CrazyTaxi. I remember my brother renting it a few years ago. I was pretty good at it, considering when I play racing games I end up off roads and crashing into things. And the Sims is a classic...my sister is addicted. Zelda has got to be my favourite game. This totally makes me look like a loser, but I beat all the games in the series except the latest one. Hehe fairlane, ever played Need for Speed Underground? There's a lot of drag racing and drifting in it. It's pretty good. Now...I must look like an even bigger loser.

I want to get a Wii just because I love how interactive it is, almost like exercise. I did myself in with the bowling, too, maxiekat! LOL Other than that I'm not much of a gamer.

Fosterchild - yeah, after that I couldn't make fun of my friend's husband anymore. Though - his Wii injury was within two hours of them opening the thing and involved a discussion about whether or no they should take him to the emergency room (he smashed his hand into a lamp and cut it open - silly, clumsy man).
I don't play a lot of video games - I don't have the patience. I actually used a cheat book for Spiro the Dragon because I didn't want to figure out what you were supposed to do on each level. Same thing with Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but I eventually gave up on that one after I got stuck waiting for some guy to hop by with bunny ears on.

LMAO!! I mean aside from muscle pain, there is no reason for a trip to the ER because of a game. Of course, knowing my stupid injury rate I probably just jinxed myself! LOL

AHAHAHA, I know it's insensitive of me, maxiekat, but that's *really funny*. I thought the purpose of video games was to allow you to do crazy skateboarding/snowboarding/ninja-slashing things *without* the risk of getting creamed.
Is this Nintendo Wii thing something where you act out what's on screen, or something? Like Dilton's virtual reality machine in Archie comics? Am I in the wrong century?

Zevie, it's ok to laugh - it really is funny. As soon as my friend Becky told me they were buying a Wii is said to her, "You know Ruben's going to hurt himself, right?" She called me at 10 pm that night to report the incident, lol. I thought someone had been in a car accident or something.
I'm probably the last person on earth to try and describe how the thing works. You hold onto a rectangular controller that mimics the moves you make. I watched them play games like tennis and baseball. It's really neat and I saw on the news that people are working it into their exercise regimes. Apparently, I need to warm up before attempting bowling again, though.

haha...yeah. But seriously. I don't play video games...only there was this one time my brothers got a racing game for gamecube, and I liked the mini-games on it. Other then that I don't play video games. Yeah, I'm a computer nerd, not a video game nerd. lol.
