British humor would be a better way to put it. It's not really all that mature, necessarily, it's just so dry it's hilarious. My brother is fifteen and loves it. He watches the episodes with me every Sunday night. It sounds like a boring concept for a show, but it's ingenious. Pure genius.
I grew up in the same church community as my childhood best friend, her dad, and funnily enough -- my boss. My old friend used to work where I do, but she got fired because she's... shall we say... very bitchy. We get into discussions about all the people we know (my boss and I) and I'd told him off and on that my friend's dad hated me. He thought I was over exaggerating for the longest time. Anyway, we were all at a funeral a month ago, for a mutual friend, and we all talked for about an hour afterwards. Once my boss and I were back at work he turned to me and said, "He HATES you. He does NOT like you. I could tell." It was then, for the first time in fifteen years, I had confirmation of what I'd thought all along.
But, that aside, I loved playing soccer. It was fun.

Ok, I was just checking. My friend was kind of telling me about watching it like she was pulling one over on her parents, like 'Oh, and guess what I got to watch!" Ugh. I love her, but she tries to act all bad, and then turns around and starts preaching to me about how I haven't let Jesus into my heart. Not that her absolute faith and obsessive-ness with her religion is a wrong thing, and not that it wouldn't make her any less 'cool' because of it, but she's just kind of hypocritical. I don't know...
I feel bad for you, if even your boss noticed it. It's good to know your assumptions were correct though, hunh? You didn't just think he hated you.
Soccer is really fun. I hate it when you get those players who don't look at is as fun though, and think it's all about being better then everyone else, and then they start insulting you just because their losing. They make me feel so bad, 'cause they just can't understand what the game is really about. -I sound like some adult from a Disney movie-
Well, I really have to finish my English assignment. Bleh.
