I have this really cool -and realistic- Vietnam game for my computer, that I finally pulled out of storage and started playing, and I discovered the funniest thing. The guy I'm supposed to be playing has the last name Shepard, and he's from Tulsa, Oklahoma! The only thing is, he's African American, so I can't say he's Tim Sherpard. -sniffle- But I thought I'd share that, 'cause... I don't know, it was interesting. xD

Haha, that's awesome. Of course now because of The Outsiders though I can't picture an African American Tim Shepard. Still, quelle coincidence! :)
And ... there's a Vietnam computer game?? *adds to birthday list*

It's called 'Men Of Valor', I found it at my old PX. It's got music from the 60's and everything. ^.^

I didn't even know they had Vietnam games. All I've seen has been World War II.
Btw, is that Hendrix in your icon? ;)

Yep, I've actually seen a couple -because I'm obsessive and search everywhere for them- but Men Of Valor is by far the best. -at least to me-
Yep, it's Hendrix. See, if it weren't for you I wouldn't have found out about him for at least a couple more years! How I love Jimi Hendrix...

xD That means my plot to overtake the world with oldies music is working! Haha, just kidding. But I'm really glad you like him. Isn't he awesome? Definitely one of my favorites.
The picture looks vaguely like the cover of the Electric Ladyland album. But it probably isn't; I think it just has the same coloring. That's one album I still need to buy so I can't really remember what it looks like. :p

Him and The Animals are the best. x3 -I just realized I'm even listening to The Mamas and the Papas right now! Look back before I talked to you, and I would've had anything but oldies on!-
I'm actually not too sure about the picture, but I'm pretty sure it's not the Electric Ladyland cover. -I'm not certain though-

The Animals are awesome. I love them.
You need to experience The Who. It's really just kind of imperative, lol. They'll never surpass my love for The Beatles, but they are one of the very best. :)

Unfortunately, I don't share your love for the Beatles. I don't mind a couple of their songs, but over all blah.
The Animals are awesome though, I was watching a movie called 'Hamburger Hill', and they played ' We've Got to Get Ought of This Place' by them. -cool movie by the way, based on the attack in 1969-

-eyes get all big- I mean, I love the Beatles! Really, I do! -starts singing- We all live in a yellow submarine! Yellow submarine! Oh, please don't die on me!
Ha, yeah, luckily I went to my grandparents to watch it though, because I don't think my Mom would ahve approved of it much... -my Grandma thought it was awesome though-
Oh, a little off topic, but whatever. My sister was listening to her MP3 player, and she had recently put on songs from an 80's hit cd, and there was this really weird song. It was going on about how Vietnam was a horrible war, and it was all techno-ish and kept repeating the age most soldiers were in Vietnam, '19'. 0.o

Actually, war games have always disturbed me. I don't see the appeal. Not because they're violent -- okay, sort of -- but because they're taking something horrible and turning it into something to enjoy ... Something "cool".

I can see where you're coming from with that. But that's only if you're playing the game going 'Oh yeah, I'm gonna kill them sorry commies!' instead of thinking of it in a... learning kind of way, I guess. 'Cool' wouldn't be the correct word to describe a war game, but maybe 'interesting' would be better. Hm... I don't know. -.-

I thought the same thing, but didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to sound like an idiot. But since you said it and didn't, I might as well say I agree I don't really like war games... People died actually fighting that conflict and those battles, and yet there's a game about it? I don't see how a game about war can be fun.

But, that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop playing it, 'cause believe me, I didn't spend fifteen whole dollars on it to just sit and look pretty.
