Oy, I think I messed up, QJ. I dunno that Limewire is illegal after all. I thought it was, but legal is a huge tangle these days (and Tens says not, and sounds much more sure than I am). But, I know it's bad. Bad, bad, bad cause it steals money away from the hardworking musicians, like Justin Timberlake. Don't we all wish that Justin had more money?
...But, seriously. If I was a good musician I'd say "no" to Limewire. If. (If I had the money to buy the damn CDs.)

Ohh, that's right.
I have Anthology 2 but not the first or the third ones. (I got them at the library once, though -- they were awesome.) I do, however, have the Anthology DVD set and the Anthology book, so I suppose that makes up for it for now, lol. :D

My brother's friend Chet uses it and he apparently is so secretive about it that no one would ever catch him; like, he has some sort of technique. Idk. I hope it's not illegal because ever since I've had the program, I've downloaded ... I can't even tell you how many songs, lol. But most of them are like ... really obscure songs from the Sixties and folk/indie stuff so maybe the artists won't care? Haha. :)

The title artists of popular stuff usually don't make the majority of their money from record sales, if they're still performing. I don't know about oldies, but the more obsure they are, the less money they're making, usually. The problem with downloading is that you end up ripping off the behind the scenes people - especially for pop singers or something that don't have their own bands, you end up taking money from the musicians who play in the recording. They usually aren't rich if they're gig-ing like that, plus they're probably losing money from digital sound and all that already. But, something tells me you're not downloading the pop ballads from 2000 on, lol, probably the stuff you download is all done by the bands. Plus, even if you are downloading *really* current stuff, I think they changed the payment policies on a lot of that stuff to just a flat rate rather than by sales for the backups. I'm talking outta you know where a little though, lol, cause I don't know the details of this stuff, and I'm really a hypocrite cause I've used limewire plenty as well. CD prices are just friggin ridiculous (plus if it's obscure, they're not nearly as easy to find in "physical form" as downloading). It's probably not that big a deal. But, jes so you know, heh.
