I meant to post this here over the weekend but somehow it slipped my mind, lol. Anyway, I posted it at the other board, too, and I'm basically just going to copy and paste what I wrote there because I don't feel like re-typing the whole thing again, lol. So here it is:
I know there are a lot of people either forget about or question what was en vogue as far as fashion and hairstyles go in the Sixties, so I have created a Photobucket account with a bunch of different sub-albums all dedicated to fashion and hairstyles of the decade -- and they're all real people, not those fake cartoony things they try to pass off as good examples. It's all female though, so, if you were looking for male fashion ... well, to use one of the old cliches, you've come to the wrong place. :p
Anyway, I didn't create it specifically for this, but I just figured it might help, visually, with any problems or questions anybody might have about what girls and women wore back then. (And yes, some did wear pants and shorts, and even capris, as you will see in some of the pictures. It wasn't *all* skirts and A-line dresses, contrary to popular belief.)
There's a sub-album for each person. Most of them I got off of this great MSN Groups website that featured so many Sixties models, half of whom I had never heard of (surprise, right?). So there will probably be many names you don't recognize. My idol, Pattie Boyd, of course has a sub-album and in hers are even more sub-albums because she's just that awesome and deserves the most pictures, lol. But because models weren't the only ones showing off fashion of the era, featured there are also different singers such as Nancy Sinatra, Lynn Ripley, and Mary Hopkin, and many foreign actresses like Anna Karina, Catherine Deneuve, and Brigitte Bardot.
... It's also for anybody like me who, you know, probably has too much of an obsession with this kinda stuff ... :)
Anyway, the album is private, but anybody can view it as long as they know the guest password.
Here's the link: s182.photobucket.com/albums/x166/thisbirdhasflownn/.
And the guest password is: johnentwistleislove
(He's my favorite member of The Who and I love him and I couldn't think of anything else, so yeah, lol.)
You can just copy and paste the password; you don't have to type the whole thing. :)
And I'm still adding onto it, too -- my sub-album for Pattie Boyd isn't finished yet and I haven't even started her sister Jenny's, lol. So things will probably be added into it as time goes by.
Hope it helps! :)
Peace . . .
