The Beatles, of course!
They're my all time fav Brit band!
I listen to a lot of music from the 60's and 70's while I'm at work, and while I'm writing.

I'm searching for a good song title for my next story.
-bangs her head on her desk over and over-
I've written myself into a corner, and now my Let It Be Trilogy is going to end up being a Four-logy!
-bangs head again and thinks about breaking her fingers-

"greasers" generally wouldn't have been into most of the modern music (of the time). the reason they were greasers to begin with has to do with the attitude. teen angst and frustration with being lower class, authority, etc. most greasers of the late 50's, early-mid 60's didn't like the new stuff coming out at the time. they were into rockabilly music. rockabilly is a mixture of rock and roll and "hillbilly" (bluegrass) music.
elvis aside, they listened to stuff by jerry lee lewis, johnny cash, hank williams (and the other sun records artists), eddie cochran, gene vincent, ricky nelson, etc.
they also listened to "colored" music (doo-wop, r & b, blues) because it was deemed shocking for white youths to listen to this style of music. again, all about the attitude.
most of the bands mentioned here like steppenwolf, the doors, the kinks and such they would have considered hippy music, and greasers in general hated hippys. although greasers were known for rebellion, they were usually more conservative. hippys were deemed too liberal for their tastes. back in the 60's most of the hippies used the term greaser for anyone they didn't like, at least around our hometown.
sorry for rambling, hope this was informative. -from an old greaser

by the way, we were known as hoods back then, not greasers. greasers was a slur the long-hairs (hippys) made up for us working class kids.

Strychnine - I want to say thanks for setting us on the right course! A lot of what we do around here is guess work and filling in the holes between what we've all picked up from one place or another. It is really awesome to hear some first hand accounts on how things really were. Feel free to add more insight to anything around here that you find lacking!

Luke Bryan is my favourite country singer. His voice takes me away from all problems of this world and I start enjoy my life and listen songs created by his mind. Now the singer is going on a tour in 2020. The concerts scheduled for this year, up to the 12th of October. Ticket prices are moderate and available for everyone. If you love country music as mush as I, then you must visit at least one Luke's concert. All tour dates are available at the Luke Bryan concert tour. Florida Georgia Line is my favourite country music band. Headliners Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are those guys that could make anyone sing along with them. That's why I like to attend their shows. And - that's surprisingly beatiful - in 2019 they have CAN'T SAY IT AIN'T COUNTRY TOUR which covers all the USA towns and cities. For concert info visit Florida Georgia Tour Schedule.

Breaking Benjamin is my favourite rock-band of 90s. They had so many hit songs! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and their hit 'So Cold'. These are real songs, not garbage like today! And it is awesome that they have a tour in 2019-2020! And I'm going to visit their concert in 2019. The tour dates is here: https://breakingbenjaminconcerts.com. Click on it and maybe we can even visit one of the Benjamin's together!
