You knew it was only a matter of time before I brought this up.
*SQUEALS*
I feel like I did when I was 14 and about to see the Backstreet Boys. So excited I was making myself sick. Except, the sick feeling isn't only from excitement. I'm also terrified of what'll happen. In any case... *Squeals again*.
Rock, her husband, my little bro Jordan, myself, and a couple other friends from high school will be meeting up at Borders in an couple of hours to waste away the night with other Potterites. (Will post picture possibly tomorrow - but if not then, then on Thursday or so).
*Shakes off the anticipation*
On the note this SHOULD be on... Does anyone here write HP fanfiction? I know of a few people who do, but haven't exactly posted their work (though I've had the pleasure of reading them). If anyone else does, please let us know. I'm sure, at least a few of us, lol, would be interested in checking them out.

WARNING- SPOILER AHEAD. I kind of have a plot for one...about the Gryffindor Sword. But, considering he lost it, I htink I'll make it an alternate ending to the series. I'll get to writing it after I finish the three Outsiders fics I have going.
And the book is awesome so far. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm up to the end. I read about half of it yesterday, lol.

I love it so far and I'm beginning to finally piece it together. I don't want it to end though so I'm pacing myself.

I have totally missed the whole craze of Harry Potter, I've never read any of the books. I saw half of one of the movies on tv and thats about it. I keep intending to read them, I'm trying to find if anyone I know has the series so I can borrow it!

In my journal, I wrote about the midnight party I ran at my bookstore. I'm too tired to rewrite the info here, but if anyone would like to read about how it went here's the link maxiekatt2.livejournal.com/1565.html#cutid1. Warning - I did get a little sappy and sentimental

I've never read any of the books, I've seen the movies though and am taking my sister to see one of 'em at the cinema today. I went to wiki and read all the spoilers Then constantly harrassed my cousin, while she was reading the book. "I know what happens, shall I tell you?" Heh, Might read the books some day, but not anytime soon. I just discovered a new author and I want to finish her series of books first. (It's a biiiig series.)

Oh, god, please tell me it ISN'T LKH?! Um, maybe, lol. Is that bad? It was her 3 first books in one for a good deal, I only picked it up because it was about vampires, lol. She's an author. Laurell k Hamilton.

Ryker - if you like Vampires, have you read Stephenie Meyer yet? The first two are Twilight and New Moon. The third one, Eclipse, just came out on Tuesday.
Here's the description for Twilight from Amazon:
Bella has come to the small town of Forks on the gloomy Olympic Peninsula to be with her father. At school, she wonders about a group of five remarkably beautiful teens, who sit together in the cafeteria but never eat. As she grows to know, and then love, Edward, she learns their secret. They are all rescued vampires, part of a family headed by saintly Carlisle, who has inspired them to renounce human prey. For Edward's sake they welcome Bella, but when a roving group of tracker vampires fixates on her, the family is drawn into a desperate pursuit to protect the fragile human in their midst.
Nearly every employee (ranging in age from 22 to 45) at my store is obsessed with these books and we threw a huge party celebrating the release of Eclipse.
I myself haven't read LKH. I've always heard that the first group of books in the Anita Blake series were really good and worth reading, but that Hamilton sort of changes direction in the later books. They apparently become long sex scenes strung together by the plot, instead of the other way around.

Nope, never heard of her books, but I'm liking the descript off amazon, gotta admit they sound better than LKH's books. I'll probably look into them, when I'm in town. I need a bigger reading list anyways, LKH and JKR, isn't enough, lol. So are you a fan of Vampire books to, or is it just Stephenie Meyer's series you like? I have a ton of vampire books at home, I love 'em. (Excluding Anne Rice. I don't like books.)

I'm not a huge vampire fan. I read a lot of romance and I've become a bit resentful of the whole paranormal romance genre because it's taking over my section, lol. Plus, several authors that I love have "jumped ship" and started writing paranormals.
Everyone was telling me I'd like the Stephenie Meyer's books, but I resisited ... until about a month ago. Now I'm hooked.
Some other authors that you might like (I don't read these, but several friends and co-workers do) include: Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Kelley Armstrong, Lynn Viehl, JR Ward, Kim Harrison, Patricia Briggs ... I should stop now, but if you ever want any suggestions, let me know.

The author of Twilight went to school 4 blocks from where I grew up, and still live. Of course, I didn't know her, but I thought that was an interesting little tidbit. Her books are supposed to be amazing. A lot of gals I know are taking her books on their cruise next month for some good romance/vampire reading.
