I thought it might be fun to do another Get-To-Know-You type survey, since we have so many new members here I dug up this character sketch I received in one of my old Creative Writing classes, and thought it'd be fun to do it to ourselves *Rubs hands together* Lol.
I'll leave it in it's original state, so you can use it for your own characters if you'd like as well. Feel free to cut out any you don't want to answer.
Beware, it looks long, but it's fun

What is the exact age of your character? - years, months, days? * 20 years, 7 months, 17 days
A place where your character is living or visiting begins to burn. The character has a few moments to escape. What does she grab – save? – before getting out of the fire? Why? *My books, computer, and any cash I have lying around.
The character enters the room in which you’re sitting. Sits down near you, places his left-hand on a table or desk near you. Look at that hand. Describe it in as much detail as you can. Quickly. Go. *Nails that ought to be trimmed, dry skin, a small cut between two fingers, and no jewelry.
Your character has left his/her wallet/purse on a table. What does it look like? What’s inside of it? *Wallet, phone, iPod, keys (two sets), lotion, two pens, contacts kit, coin purse, loose change, a picture, receipts, feminine things, IB Prophin, iPod speaker and extra headphones kit, chap stick, and anti-bacterial hand gel. What can I say? I'm prepared... or rather, I never clean this thing out.
Your character is napping. Without feeling too weird about it… lean in and sniff his/her neck. What does it smell like? *I probably don't smell like anything.
Describe your characters favorite meal. *Hmmm ::Happy grin:: Kaluah pork enchilada style burrito from Cafe Rio. Or if we're talking about home made -- fried chicken with steamed carrots and potatos, and fresh salad.
Describe a scar and how it was acquired. * I have one on my left thigh where a kid karate kicked me (no joke) into one of those old-fashioned merry-go-round things they used to have on playgrounds at schools and parks. I was six and didn't need stitches, but I have a three inch long scar from it. They took the ride out a year later because so many students were getting hurt.
Character laughs at something. What is it? Why does he think it’s funny? *I laugh at everything, because I surround myself with funny people. I probably think it's funny because it IS.
You are invisible; your presence is unknown by your character. You are observing your character looking into a mirror. Describe your observations. *Heh. ::scratches head:: Erm, you know, the typical "brooding, model-esque" pose, and then I usually look for zits and make sure my eye liner didn't smear at some point.
“France.†Your character hears that word. What, if anything, comes to your character’s mind. Be as specific as you can. *::Dreamy smile:: My superb trip that I went on with my cousin last spring. Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomph (sp?), Disney Paris stuff, crepes, and they're ever-so-friendly airport/s staff. Those airport workers can go stick it. Really, they can, lol. 1) They weren't going to let me on the commuter flight with my cousin, even though I had a ticket, and 2) Two weeks later they "lost" record of my ticket to fly home. And they were really mean.
“I remember…†You character says or thinks these words. Now provide a list of at least five things your character remembers. * Loving elementary school; every single detail of Disneyland like my own house; what it was like when all my siblings still lived at home; the first time I was read The Outsiders in school; and, meeting Donny Osmond twice -- first time I was 12 and helped him carry out his equipment to his SUV, second time around he remembered who was. Lol.
Describe one not-so-easily detected nervous habit of your character’s. Nothing conventional. *I curl my toes. Don't know if that's conventional or not.
A sound that’s especially pleasing to your character – what is it? Why is it so pleasing to the character? *Voices through my iPod -- because I can pretend I don't hear the phone ringing (while at work). That or beautiful Christmas music, like the Trans Siberian Orchestra.
What is your character’s middle name, and what is the brief history – if any – of that name? *My middle name is Leigh. I don't think there's any thing significant to it, except that then my name (first and middle together) is pronounced "Kara Lee."
Describe (compare/contrast) the ways in which your character sneezes in private/public. *I try not to sneeze at all in public, but I usually manage to contain it a little. In private... who cares? Sneeze as loudly as it comes on. Lol.
Who was the first American President (or Prime Minister) of which your character was aware, and what is one image or memory your character has of this president (Prime Minister)? *Clinton. I was in fourth grade.
Describe a piece of jewelry your character might wear or buy for another person or admire or dislike. (It’s okay to answer all four options too.) 1) I really like to wear this chain necklace that has big ol' "jewels" on it, from Anchor Blue. Sounds weird, but it's really sweet looking. 2) I really dislike gigantic hoop earrings. I think they're tacky.
Provide one more telling piece of information about your character. * I'm too conservative for my own good.

What is the exact age of your character? - years, months, days? 14 years, 2 months, no idea how many day
A place where your character is living or visiting begins to burn. The character has a few moments to escape. What does she grab/ save before getting out of the fire? Why? Books, my cell phone, and... my CDs... possibly my guinea pig, if I had time to make it to the garage. No way am I lugging my computer out there.
The character enters the room in which you're sitting. Sits down near you, places his left-hand on a table or desk near you. Look at that hand. Describe it in as much detail as you can. Quickly. Go. Long nails, scars from various mishaps with her brothers, two healing cuts, no jewlery
Your character has left his/her wallet/purse on a table. What does it look like? What's inside of it? I uhm... don't have a wallet... or a purse...
Your character is napping. Without feeling too weird about it, lean in and sniff his/her neck. What does it smell like? probably nothing...
Describe your characters favorite meal. Hmmm... sushi. Or possibly shrimp Caesar salad. I don't count fish as meat...
Describe a scar and how it was acquired. In the summer before eighth grade I slid into home playing softball, but the pitcher ran in as well and my ankle hit the side of her leg. No joke, I heard this loud pop, and I didn't feel anything at first but when they walked me off the field I felt like my ankle was falling off. Long story short: surgery, crutches for three months and I have seven screws in my ankle and a five inch scar.
Character laughs at something. What is it? Why does he think it's funny? I laugh at everything. For the longest time, if someone said "pudding" I'd go into hysterics.
You are invisible; your presence is unknown by your character. You are observing your character looking into a mirror. Describe your observations. I stare... inspect whatever zits I may have, then make sure my nose ring isn't all screwed up.
“France.†Your character hears that word. What, if anything, comes to your character’s mind. Be as specific as you can. Les Miz. More importantly: Grantaire, Joly, and Gavroche... then I think of 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' and 'Little People'.
“I remember…†You character says or thinks these words. Now provide a list of at least five things your character remembers. >> Being two and thinking the pinata was a real animal and they (my family) killed it. >> My first big (physical) fight with my best friend >> Going to England and Scotland/seeing my aunt act in the Quixotic Pulse as Queen Victoria >> The first (and only) time I went to Disneyland >> Meeting Mat Devine from Kill Hannah
Describe one not-so-easily detected nervous habit of your character’s. Nothing conventional. As my dad described it: "you kind of... look down"
dunno if that counts. xD
A sound that’s especially pleasing to your character – what is it? Why is it so pleasing to the character? classical piano music, sometimes swing or jazz. That kind of stuff just calms me down a lot.
What is your character’s middle name, and what is the brief history – if any – of that name? My middle name is Drew... there's no story behind it, but it's my uncle's name which made me feel really awkward for a while because I'm a girl.
Describe (compare/contrast) the ways in which your character sneezes in private/public. In public, my sneeze is soft. In private... I usually make some stupid joke afterwards that I then feel the need to justify.
Who was the first American President (or Prime Minister) of which your character was aware, and what is one image or memory your character has of this president (Prime Minister)? I remember when Bush was elected, and I saw this lady on the television screaming really strange things. She... scared me. So that's my first memory/image of him, even if he wasn't there.
Describe a piece of jewelry your character might wear or buy for another person or admire or dislike. (It’s okay to answer all four options too.) I'd probably just wear earrings. They're the only jewelery I constantly wear, although sometimes I'll wear a necklace.
Provide one more telling piece of information about your character. According to my parents: I have an uncharacteristic taste in music for someone of my age.
Really. I don't know anything about myself.

What is the exact age of your character? - years, months, days? Sixteen years, eleven months, and I don't even know how many days. But, if this helps any, I'll be seventeen in less than a month.
A place where your character is living or visiting begins to burn. The character has a few moments to escape. What does she grab – save? – before getting out of the fire? Why? My cat, both my guitars, my laptop, my mp3 player ... my goodness, I probably wouldn't even have time to grab most of the things I'd want to save.
The character enters the room in which you’re sitting. Sits down near you, places his left-hand on a table or desk near you. Look at that hand. Describe it in as much detail as you can. Quickly. Go. My left hand is tiny, and my fingers are fairly short. I only wear jewelry on my right hand, so my left hand is bare. My nails are short and my skin is very white.
Your character has left his/her wallet/purse on a table. What does it look like? What’s inside of it? Currently, my purse itself is filled with school stuff -- it interchanges between a puse and a school bag. Yes, it's fairly large. I got it at Beatlefest. As for my wallet ... in there I've got cash, my driver's license, my library card, and assorted other cards that I've kept and/or should have thrown away a long time ago, including an old Metra train ticket from about 2003 and a pool pass that we never actually needed for a pool in Lake Geneva.
Your character is napping. Without feeling too weird about it… lean in and sniff his/her neck. What does it smell like? Radiant Red shampoo, I would guess.
Describe your character's favorite meal. Tyson chicken strips and Velveeta shell noodles. Delish.
Describe a scar and how it was acquired. Because I don't feel like retelling the story about how I got the one on my heel, I'll just say that I've got a fading one on one of my calves that I got as a result of cutting myself while shaving. I started bleeding profusely in the shower and for some reason assumed I'd hit a major artery and was going to die. I tend to overreact about wounds.
Character laughs at something. What is it? Why does he think it’s funny? Anything. It doesn't matter what -- I'm so easily amused, that just the simplest thing could send me into peals of laughter.
You are invisible; your presence is unknown by your character. You are observing your character looking into a mirror. Describe your observations. Well, for one thing, I'm short. I've got long red hair (it's been dyed -- my natural color is reddish-brown, I had it dyed in September, so it has since faded as the roots are growing out; the roots are all brownish again while the rest of my hair has faded to this odd reddish, almost strawberry blonde color -- I look like Rainbow Barbie); very white skin; hazel eyes; small nose, pouty lips; freckles; very Sixties-styled black eyeliner and lots of mascara.
“France.†Your character hears that word. What, if anything, comes to your character’s mind. Be as specific as you can. Oh, I love France. I haven't been there (yet), but I love it. I'm taking the language this year in school and I'm enjoying it so much. The French culture and language is of huge interest to me, especially lately.
“I remember…†You character says or thinks these words. Now provide a list of at least five things your character remembers. The entire summer of 2006 -- so memorable for me; Paul McCartney concert; my childhood; meeting New Colony Six in June; my grandma dying.
Describe one not-so-easily detected nervous habit of your character’s. Nothing conventional. Oh, wow ... most of my nervous habits are pretty conspicuous. I tend to chew on the inside of my mouth sometimes, not hard -- it's just something that I do. Oh, here's something that's not conventional; I get made fun of for it all the time -- when I'm sitting still, I tend to rock back and forth where I'm sitting slightly. I picked it up from my aunt and sometimes I don't even know I'm doing it. And I flip things, just my cell phone and TV remotes, mainly. I don't know where I picked that up from, but I did, and now it's just something I do, much to my mom's chagrin, because she fears I'll break something every time.
A sound that’s especially pleasing to your character – what is it? Why is it so pleasing to the character? Acoustic guitar, and cat meows. Not necessarily at the same time, and I don't exactly have a reason for loving these sounds -- they're just calming and soothing to me, and very beautiful.
What is your character’s middle name, and what is the brief history – if any – of that name? My middle name is Elizabeth. I'm not sure what its significance is in regards to my full name or my family history, or anything, although I thought I remember my mom saying I had a great aunt named Elizabeth ... maybe. I'd have to check with her again.
Describe (compare/contrast) the ways in which your character sneezes in private/public. I usually try not to. When I feel like I have to sneeze, I hold my nose. But when I can't hold it, I sneeze into my arm, and not my hands. (I'm a germophobe about certain things.)
Who was the first American President (or Prime Minister) of which your character was aware, and what is one image or memory your character has of this president (Prime Minister)? Clinton. I believe he was president all throughout my elementary school years. I don't have much memory of him, though.
Describe a piece of jewelry your character might wear or buy for another person or admire or dislike. (It’s okay to answer all four options too.) I wear my grandma's diamond engagement ring every day. It's an heirloom. She gave it to me before she went in the hospital for surgery, implying that it was mine if something should happen to her. (It was in her will for me.) Well, something did happen to her -- completely the opposite of what we expected -- and so needless to say, it's mine now. I don't take it off except for showers, and I don't feel complete if I'm not wearing it.
Provide one more telling piece of information about your character. Here are a couple of random things: my favorite color is yellow, I love cheetahs, and I hate talking on the phone.
I probably should have been asleep three hours ago, yeah?
Peace, Queen Jane

What is the exact age of your character? - years, months, days? 18 years to the day A place where your character is living or visiting begins to burn. The character has a few moments to escape. What does she grab – save? – before getting out of the fire? Why? Photoalbums, since you can't replace them! My dog for obvious reasons, and my helicopter helmet because it's cool and there's no way I could somehow con my mom into buying me another one on Ebay. The character enters the room in which you’re sitting. Sits down near you, places his left-hand on a table or desk near you. Look at that hand. Describe it in as much detail as you can. Quickly. Go. Decent length nails, scarred knuckles, and a cut on the thumb joint part thing where it goes from one joint to the other. Your character has left his/her wallet/purse on a table. What does it look like? What’s inside of it? Brown and black squares alternating with one black strap, brown stitching. Inside is a black wallet with string crisscross pattern on the front with money and loooads of ID in it (Why do I have 7 ID cards in it?), a pack of Rocket candy, a measuring tape, a nail file, a red sharpie, and a magnifying glass. Your character is napping. Without feeling too weird about it… lean in and sniff his/her neck. What does it smell like? Leather, was wearing a weather coat and the collar wouldn't flip. Describe your characters favorite meal. Cheesey lasagne. Describe a scar and how it was acquired. Palm of my right hand is covered in little scars. Last year (Right around this time, I think it was the 8th), went to go outside and instead of pushing the door latch on the glass porch door, I pushed the glass itself until my hands were outside but my body wasn't... Had to go get my hand glued back together, and I'm still not sure why I didn't stop when I heard glass breaking under my hands. Oo or the one on my finger where I reached into boiling oil because I wanted a french fry. D'oh. Character laughs at something. What is it? Why does he think it’s funny? Oh geez, anything. Everything is funny. You are invisible; your presence is unknown by your character. You are observing your character looking into a mirror. Describe your observations. I have this ridiculious fear of mirrors, so I probably wouldn't be looking in one just for kicks. “France.†Your character hears that word. What, if anything, comes to your character’s mind. Be as specific as you can. Seriously, skinny women with two word bubbles above their head, one being 'Skinny', the other being 'Content'. It's a refrence to them having the brains to stop eating when they're content rather than full, making them skinny. “I remember…†You character says or thinks these words. Now provide a list of at least five things your character remembers. First vacation School trip to Story Book Park Trip with friends to Story Book Park Getting Twiggy, the dog. To check the rear view mirror before moving! Describe one not-so-easily detected nervous habit of your character’s. Nothing conventional. I rake my hand through my hair from back to front and leave it like that. It's kind of conventional, I suppose, but it's really the only nervous habit I have. Haha, I don't know why its so pleasing. What is your character’s middle name, and what is the brief history – if any – of that name? Suzanne, no history, my parents just thought it sounded nice. Describe (compare/contrast) the ways in which your character sneezes in private/public. I am far too cool to sneeze. Who was the first American President (or Prime Minister) of which your character was aware, and what is one image or memory your character has of this president (Prime Minister)? Jean Cretien, I seem to remember commercials saying, "Would you want someone who looks like this representing your country?" Lots of memories, but that sticks out the most. Describe a piece of jewelry your character might wear or buy for another person or admire or dislike. (It’s okay to answer all four options too.) Wear: Silver rings or braclets or simple chains. Nothing gawdy. Buy for another person: Anything I can find at the dollar store. Admire: Frackin hot necklaces! They don't work on me. What is the exact age of your character? - years, months, days?
35 year, 9 months, 2 weeks, 4 days....I'm an accountant, sue me.
A place where your character is living or visiting begins to burn. The character has a few moments to escape. What does she grab/save before getting out of the fire? Why?
My brothers....cause they would want to roast marshmallows instead of running.
The character enters the room in which you're sitting. Sits down near you, places his left-hand on a table or desk near you. Look at that hand. Describe it in as much detail as you can. Quickly. Go.
Long fingers, circular burn on the back of the hand (never sneeze with a cigarette in your hand), short nails with no polish or gloss.
Your character has left his/her wallet/purse on a table. What does it look like? What's inside of it?
Two small notebooks, 16 ink pens (7 red, 4 blue, and 5 black), a box of Lifesaver mints that expired two months ago, a half-eaten pack of cheese crackers, business calculator, classic 50's switchblade in mint condition, $6.74 in loose change rattling in the bottom, 12 receipts for gas, a wallet stuffed with nothing that I will ever need except for a US driver's license, and my youngest brother's cell phone because he can't shut up.
Your character is napping. Without feeling too weird about it, lean in and sniff his/her neck. What does it smell like?
Strawberries.....my shampoo rocks.
Describe your characters favorite meal.
2 cheese enchiladas, mexican rice, three bowls of salsa and a steak fajita with sour cream.
Describe a scar and how it was acquired.
It's about a foot long on my left thigh and has stitch marks running down it like a railroad track....I laid my bike down to miss a dog and ripped my leg open on the kickstand when it bent back on me.
Character laughs at something. What is it? Why does he think it's funny?
I only laugh at idiots, so chances are one is nearby.
You are invisible; your presence is unknown by your character. You are observing your character looking into a mirror. Describe your observations.
I have a pair of scissors in my hand and am cutting any pieces of hair that refuse to obey my commands.
"France" Your character hears that word. What, if anything, comes to your character's mind. Be as specific as you can.
A very bad field trip to Paris where I met the only man I could ever hate with all my heart and soul.
"I remember" Your character says or thinks these words. Now provide a list of at least five things your character remembers.
-Why I hated living in the US before. -That I locked my keys in my car when I came home from work an hour ago -The way my fiancee use to cook supper for me when I was at home - When there use to be peace and quiet in my house - When Sha-Na-Na was more than just the background sound for a song
Describe one not-so-easily detected nervous habit of your character's. Nothing conventional.
Rubbing the end of my nose....comes from my younger, druggier days.
A sound that's especially pleasing to your character and what is it? Why is it so pleasing to the character?
Silence....because I never get it anymore.
What is your character's middle name, and what is the brief history, if any, of that name?
Rainstar......my parents were dysfunctional and delerious.
Describe (compare/contrast) the ways in which your character sneezes in private/public.
I do it the same either way.....loud and nasty.
Who was the first American President (or Prime Minister) of which your character was aware, and what is one image or memory your character has of this president (Prime Minister)?
I still have no clue who the President is....I'm not into politics, nor do I watch news shows.
Describe a piece of jewelry your character might wear or buy for another person or admire or dislike.
I wear a gold and silver Celtic cross ring on the middle finger of my left hand. It was given to me by my oldest brother for my 16th birthday many moons ago.
I despise earrings that touch your shoulders....they remind me of those ugly feathery things Mr. T wore in his hair on the A-Team.

What is the exact age of your character? - years, months, days?
19 years, 8 months, 3 days (I think, I flunked Math…twice)
A place where your character is living or visiting begins to burn. The character has a few moments to escape. What does she grab/save before getting out of the fire? Why?
The Thought Box. Everything ever written by yours truly goes in there at some point. My roommates have orders to save it. If one of them grabs it, then Spike – our plant. Oh, and my flash Disc. And maybe my massive CD collection – particularly Metallica, Seether, CCR and Zeppelin IV.
The character enters the room in which you're sitting. Sits down near you, places his (or her) left-hand on a table or desk near you. Look at that hand. Describe it in as much detail as you can. Quickly. Go.
Long, tapered, slanted fingers (to the left). No rings, no polish, dirt under a few, some are chipped. Double jointed thumb. Some scars along the knuckles. Short nails, but long enough for a natural white tip on each. Notes written on it about meeting at 1:45 in the lounge with Mike.
I deduce this person is absent minded…
Your character has left his/her wallet/purse on a table. What does it look like? What's inside of it?
Wallet that has seen better days and needs to be replaced. What? Purses are for girls…well, girly girls…
Anyways, in there is… Visa, Costco card, Drivers license (with an old picture), Safeway card, Air Miles, Bonus Air Miles (only good in Lethbridge), Bank card (shiny and new since Max happened to the other one…), Social Insurance card, I Rewards card, Student ID, First Aid Certification (expires in May), $5.00 and receipts from the gas station.
Your character is napping. Without feeling too weird about it, lean in and sniff his/her neck. What does it smell like?
What does it smell like? Hold on a sec…that sweet alcohol smell you give off after you're detoxing and Sunflower body mist.
Describe your characters favorite meal.
Jambalaya (Rice, chicken, sausage, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, bay leaves, Cumin, Cloves and other secret spices all cooked up together and served with tons of crushed chilies on it – chilies are optional)
Describe a scar and how it was acquired.
Right eyebrow – beer bottle to the forehead - Miller, still can't drink the stuff because of it. You have to look hard to see it, but damn did it bleed everywhere. The story? Well, let’s just say you should never tell someone drunk and high that they need to leave a party.
Character laughs at something. What is it? Why does he think it's funny?
I have to think of something? Damn…my “character” has such a random sense of ha ha. Morbid things, sarcastic things, “you’re dumb as hell” things… Very random things. Sheep sets me off because I had a teacher we referred to as “The Sheep F*cker”. Good times…
You are invisible; your presence is unknown by your character. You are observing your character looking into a mirror. Describe your observations.
Humm. Nice eyes…needs a hair cut…why are we sticking our tongue out again? Oh, that’s right…pre-coffee. Looks tired, musses hair up for no reason but that it amuses her, fingers split lip, checks of any spots that need make up to make it through the day…and finishes by knocking elbow on the corner of the medicine cabinet as she leaves to get coffee.
"France" Your character hears that word. What, if anything, comes to your character's mind. Be as specific as you can.
Lots of battles from WWI, WWII, and the Napoleonic wars…But most, she starts spouting off French product labels in her head.
"I remember" Your character says or thinks these words. Now provide a list of at least five things your character remembers.
- How nice sleeping all day was - That I have a paper I’m ignoring… - That I need to gas up before I drive the 170 KM home - That my whiskey bottle is empty…but there is more under the TV - That tomorrow will be Thursday, the day after is Friday, Sunday is soon and it will then be Monday all over again (that is a big accomplishment)
Describe one not-so-easily detected nervous habit of your character's. Nothing conventional.
Will repeatedly check my phone for the time because I have no idea what to do with my hands.
A sound that's especially pleasing to your character and what is it? Why is it so pleasing to the character?
Storms – rain and thunder. And the long drawn out “George” my dad likes to shout sometimes when he needs to make noise. They’re calming.
What is your character's middle name, and what is the brief history, if any, of that name?
Grace. My Nana thought this was her middle name, so I got it passed onto me. Turns out it was Gracie-May, but I’m not complaining.
Describe (compare/contrast) the ways in which your character sneezes in private/public.
Same. Explosive and vocal. But apparently I sneeze like my mom, so its not my fault!
Who was the first Prime Minister of which your character was aware, and what is one image or memory your character has of this Prime Minister?
Jean Cretchien. Man, he was hilarious. Used to walk out of Parliament swearing in French. I can't remember him not being around, if that helps.
Describe a piece of jewelry your character might wear or buy for another person or admire or dislike.
Man...I dunno. I like simple and generally silver coloring, not gold. I dislike big, bulky and Amber.
Provide one more telling piece of information about your character.
Telling…Well, I talk to my things. Tell inanimate objects to stay still and the like. It amuses me.

O.T.
Heh. Gracie-May -- pretty name, but I'd never let you live it down.
My mom didn't know until she was fourty that her name was spelled MaryLyn. Her parents, and she, had been spelling it MaryLin all of her life. She still uses MaryLin.
Dude, you think I would have to worry about you? Think about the ribbing I would get from my boys!

What is the exact age of your character? - years, months, days? 17 years, 8 months and 1 days.
A place where your character is living or visiting begins to burn. The character has a few moments to escape. What does she grab - save? - before getting out of the fire? Why? I'm so clueless I'd probably never remember anything at all and end up regretting forgetting my computer the rest of my life.
The character enters the room in which you're sitting. Sits down near you, places his left-hand on a table or desk near you. Look at that hand. Describe it in as much detail as you can. Quickly. Go. This is hard since I'm typing... The nails are very shiny and thick looking but their bitten down the quick and the cuticles are ridiculously untrimmed. There's a white scar running down the pinky that's slighly raised and there's a brown freckle that exactly matches one on the right hand.
Your character has left his/her wallet/purse on a table. What does it look like? What's inside of it? It's huger than huge and my mom calls it a suitcase. It's more of a blue and white rugby striped beach bag. It's got all kinds of trash I don't use in it. Some car keys, an empty glasses case, a contact container, and a wallet I've had since I was 14. There's dirt on the bottom, an entertainment book, a shirt I took off and forgot about and some random papers I don't need.
Your character is napping. Without feeling too weird about it, lean in and sniff his/her neck. What does it smell like? Frizz-ease shampoo and shay butter body wash.
Describe your characters favorite meal. General Tso's chicken and pork fried rice with an eggroll. Damn I'm hungry now...
Describe a scar and how it was acquired. My writer's guild meeting had a new boy reading a rather unimpressive story in a very squeaky voice and I was bored. I leaned over, resting my arm on top of a lamp and... burned myself. And then told everyone about how stupid I was because that's the kind of person I am.
Character laughs at something. What is it? Why does he think it's funny? I'm listening to Tiny Dancer remembering my first solo misson in the car when I tried to jam out to a song on the radio and the only thing I can find is this song. HOLD ME CLOSER TINY DANCER! Then a cop pulled me over for not having my head lights on.
You are invisible; your presence is unknown by your character. You are observing your character looking into a mirror. Describe your observations. I'm probably trying to quirk my eyebrows impressively and failing miserably. Then laughing at myself.
France. Your character hears that word. What, if anything, comes to your character's mind. Be as specific as you can. Well, nothing probably. I've never had much interest in France.
"I remember" You character says or thinks these words. Now provide a list of at least five things your character remembers. The first time I climbed out of my crib, the painstaking process of making a scrapbook, the first time I got lost in the grocery store, my first psedo-boyfriend who's funeral was today, and reading that S.E. Hinton was only 16 and smirking, thinking... that doesn't surprise me.
Describe one not-so-easily detected nervous habit of your character's. Nothing conventional. Sometimes I'll look up while deep in thought and see people looking at me strange and realize I was chewing on my thumb making a lot of noise.
A sound that's especially pleasing to your character - what is it? Why is it so pleasing to the character? The song 'Afternoon Delight' coming from my cell phone means my Biff's calling.
What is your character's middle name, and what is the brief history - if any - of that name? Ann. My family's tradition is that the godmother's middle name becomes the godchild's middle name. Actually, I don't know how much that's exercised...
Describe (compare/contrast) the ways in which your character sneezes in private/public. I don't have much control over it. Though I notice the sticky, snotty (sorry...) ones seem to occur in public. Go figure.
Who was the first American President (or Prime Minister) of which your character was aware, and what is one image or memory your character has of this president (Prime Minister)? I just remember asking my aunt what oral sex was after hearing that Bill Clinton had gotten one.
Describe a piece of jewelry your character might wear or buy for another person or admire or dislike. (It's okay to answer all four options too.) I've always had a silver/shiny fetish, so probably a chain bracelet or necklace.
Provide one more telling piece of information about your character. Hmm... I'm scared of non-descript questions.

You know, I haven't seen him since I was 10 (that's what I meant by pseudo) but he was my stepfather's friend’s stepson and it's strange that I'm only 17 and have a childhood friend that is all ready dead. The scary thing was that it was drugs.
