MC; No, I've just never heard of it. I guess because Mr. & Mrs. Curtis are usually gone when a girl comes. But hey, live and learn, right?
Nittanylizard; I want to be old like you! I just turned thirteen, and I'm trying so hard to improve my writing. I just want to fast forward and become a brilliant writer without having to put any effort into it. ;-;

my first fanfic was a star wars fanfic, i believe...about a banished girl crashing on tattooine and meeting an older obi-wan kenobi [between the ewan mcgregor and sir alec guinness look, though at the time, the phantom menace hadn't come out] the first one i finally published was a hellraiser fanfic. it's sooo beautiful, imo, it really embodies who the engineer really is. lol of course that's all mo

Lord have mercy on my first writings. I was all of 13 or 14 when I read The Outsiders, and I totally mangled SE's works with my own renderings.
Thank heaven for English teachers and their rulers or I would still be making an a** of myself.

My first fan fic is a Harry Potter fic on another site. I've gotten some good critism on it and I actually like it. For the most part, anyway. I think my Outsiders fic I have on the site is better though.

Oh my goodness, I remember my first fanfiction so well! I sat in my room night after night writing it with pen and paper, and I kept it in this folder I bought at a bookfair with cats on it- and I hid it under my bed during the day so my parents wouldn't find it. Like many of you, no one has any idea I write.
It was ridiculous. Some love story where Dally was a lovey-dove and Darry beat Ponyboy on a regular basis. My favorite line (I remember!) "Dally stood with the phone in his hand silently crying. He asked Soda for a hug, he was just so happy he could sing! Brooke was alive! The hospital had taken some experimental operation on her and had revived her after being dead from a car accident!"
I remember it, word for word, because I think that even at that time I knew it was riddiculous! The grammar was really bad. But the terrible thing is, I never mentioned the car accident that Dally's girlfriend 'Brooke' died in- the previous chapter they had been getting busy in a backseat.
I make myself laugh very hard just thinking of it.

Mine was hystarical. It was a cliche Mary-Sue disaster. The only thing I like about it is that Mary-Sue was less than 5 feet so the boys would pick her up if she got annoying. "I was taking to long talking to Darry, and Dallas got fed up with me. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. Up-side-down I waved to the Curtis brothers. "Bye!" I said. "Bye!" All three of them said in unison.
